    Introduction:

Hey all, I’m Crunky, I started 6-max micro for a long time ago at nl2 and grinded my way up to BE nl100 player, I then decided to switch program to IRONMAN when I got the offer, which quite frankly can be said was a good move. Almost instantly I started to win more and more and just recently started taking shots at nl200 which have so far been successful on a very low sample.

I will make updates once a month, hopefully they will all have good results like this first post.

    Contract:

60K contract after switching to Ironman program, profit before was 3.5K and im now standing at 13.5K where 10K comes from last 3 months.

    Goals:

    Major goal:

From this date, finishing the contract in 7 months.

    Monthly:

    Grind 200h

Start with Elliot roe’s pre-session warmup

    Break records!

and for what you all have been waiting for….

    GRAPHS:

Sorry to say this but I play untracked sites 95% of my volume so for now I cant show any graphs 🙁 atleast you will see my results.

    BAM, November in the balls!

Hit a crazy downswing worst of my life bla bla bla. not to interesting, what is interesting is the lessons from it.

    1. I know I can suck it up and move down 2-3 limits to not lose money rather than continue until BR is broken and having to grind it up to play highest limit again.
    2. I saw how far I have come in my game since start of Ironman, even tho I was BE this month in nl50 I saw how bad regs there actually is. When I was was winning at nl50 before joining Ironman I thought I was good (which I clearly wasn’t) but now I just know how much I have improved my game.
    3. I know I have problem with tilt (95% motivation, 5% strategy) when badbeats just crush me several days in a row (had 3 winning days this month), what I learned in the end of the month was that this is a golden opportunity to work on mentalgame and how I should work on it. If the badrun is now over I atleast will have a clear plan for next time.

    So over to the loss:

Not to bad I guess considering everything, had a good €1.000 day in the end that saved it a bit.

    Goals:

Grind atleast 160h until the 23:th of december

Restart with Elliot roe’s pre-session warmup

    Break records!

BAM, December in the balls! 🙂

Downswing continued from last month but felt it ended close to christmas when I finally turned the month around and actually made a small profit.

Didn’t hit my volume target since I also had a downswing in life with my grandfather passed away pretty suddenly. Took it very hard but also really felt the lesson that life is short and that its important to really make it your best in this world. I hope everyone else actually  really understand the concept that life is short in a less painful way than I did.

Last part of the month, Christmas to NYE I was on a snowboard vacation in north sweden, felt great on the board this year as I focused on having as much fun as possible while riding, rather than going faster and faster(which I also did when focusing on having fun), crashed a few time in black slopes but nothing bad 😀

    Profit december: around €500

    Goal 2018:

100K euro profit. (yes this will be my only goal with poker, since it also include finishing CFP)

    Goals January:

Get back to playing more aggressive poker, downswing effected my game becoming to passive and ABC

    300h!

study 1h at the end of every day.

    Win ranking!

non poker goal: Get back to a good diet so I can have more energy and focus at the tables.

    The change of January.

For a few reasons which I’m not gonna go into detail with I decided to switch to HU. This affected my volume goal since I had to study more and fix offtable stuff thats mandatory for HU, will continue doing so in February.

    Recap January Goals:

    1. 211h played
    2. Lots of study, estimated guess around 70-90h
    3. Didnt win ranking but did pretty good in HU with a winning of around 2K playing nl50 in the start and nl100 at the end.
    4. Im back to a good diet with intermittent fasting.

    February goals:

    1. 200h (bit less becouse of 28 days and a few birthdays I have to attend)
    2. Study 50h+
    3. 5K profit
    4. nl200 by february 14:th (will make midmonth update then)

So as I promised, here is midmonth update.

    1. 200h (bit less becouse of 28 days and a few birthdays I have to attend)  far behind, only at 70h becouse of having to take care of the kids for a few days, trying to get back on track this weekend. with a few 12h+ days
    2. Study 50h+, Even worse since I prioritize playing over studying, watched a few videos and attended all coachings so I guess around 20h
    3. 5K profit, 1K profit with 2 failed nl200 shots. gonna do my third tomorrow
    4. nl200 by february 14:th (will make midmonth update then) first shot taken on the 10:th of february

Since today is the end of february (kind of)

Tough month, I reached NL200 earlier than my goal, but I failed shot after shot vs the most stupid fishes, im now on my 9:th shot I think and hopefully this time it will work. otherwise, 10 times the charm right? 😉

Because of all the failed shots my month didn’t go so well, only won €1033/5000.

Another factor is the amount of hours I put in, I think it was around 160h and not anywhere near my goal but Im still happy with it since I had like 15-20h of “free time” where I could have played only. lots of taking care of the kids and close family members birthday etc.

I will work much harder in March and make that 5K month!

    Recap February Goals:

    1. 160h played (Goal 200h)
    2. Most of my study came from coaching so failed on study
    3. 1033/5000 profit
    4. Reached nl200 before my goal.

    March goals:

    1. 250h
    2. Study 70h+
    3. 5K profit
    4. nl400 shot!

bit to early for midmonth updated but whatever.

Today its 2 months since I started HU, so far result is +€5000 give or take 100. I think this is great so far since 90% of that time is nl50/100 and 10% is nl200 including lots of failed shots. Im now looking towards adding nl300 on the sites that have that. and hopefully will reach nl400 before end of this month.

    Result this month so far:

    80h play

    ~30h study

March was a up and down month.

As you read in my midmarch update everything went great and I was ahead of my goal of 5K in term of days played, then the variance goddess hit me and made life though. for 12 days in a row I dont think I beat a sinlge fish for more than 20bb. the most stupid ones 90/0 with passive postflop most often took me more than 100 hands to take their money which quite often resulted in me paying their entire stack in rake before I got it.

Month ended in very little profit but hey, downswings cant last for long with huge edge vs opp so can only mean April is gonna be great right? 😀

    Recap March Goals:

    1. 190h played (Goal 250h)
    2. Studied well over 70h, dont know exact number but all coachings attended and watched 54 videos from intermediate course + all the extra smaller things
    3. ~200/5000 profit
    4. Reached nl300 shot midmarch but almost down to nl200 shots again.

    April goals:

    1. 250h or beat Dlecheff in hours
    2. 60 videos, all coachings attended.
    3. 5K profit
    4. nl400 shot!

    April April April.

Started exactly as last month, up around 3K at midmonth then started losing a few days in a row and just hoped it wouldnt end the same as march, good thing is that it turned around again and I made good profit last week of the month and ended the month taking 2nd Place on HU ranking with €3662 profit. really wanted the 5K but I guess its hard/small luck dependant with nl200 as highest limit.

Starting this month with nl250 and nl300 aswell and since after only 2 days im up €800 and not that far away from nl400 shot!

    Recap April Goals:

    1. 210h played (Goal 250h)
    2. Studied well over 70h, dont know exact number but all coachings attended and watched 52 videos from intermediate course + all the extra smaller things
    3. 3662/5000 profit
    4. didnt reac nl400 but not that far away.

    May goals:

    1. 250h
    2. 60 videos, all coachings attended.
    3. 20 days posting 1 hand
    4. 20 days answering hands
    5. 5K profit
    6. nl400 shot!

Actually im pretty numb in my mind atm so I cant remember much about last month except that it ended in the wrong way, was at 4200 euro profit with just a few days to go and I really wanted the 5K to move up to advanced but ended losing 1200 in the last few days instead. next month for sure!

    Recap May Goals:

    1. 226h played (Goal 250h)
    2. 48 videos, all coachings attended (60 videos goal)
    3. 2926/5000 profit
    4. suceeded nl400 shot.

    June

Just as last month I was close to the 5K target with 5 days left of the month but this time I succeeded in reaching 5K on the last day of the month after grinding 60h for the last 350euro 😉

Im very happy with my result even tho I reached 5K and got into advanced, since there where a few problems last month. first I ran like shit when getting it in postflop and was around 3K below EV Second thing I ran super terrible with Premiums QQ+/AK, losing 1K with those. pretty crazy to still make a 5K profit.

Aaaaanyway, im in advanced group now so im happy and going to work even harder to reach that fricking 10K before BPC camp.

    Recap June Goals:

    1. 197h played (Goal 200h)
    2. 42 videos, missed 1 coaching (62 videos goal)
    3. 5114/5000 profit
    4. took nl500 shot and it went good, BPC payment put me down to nl400.
    5. failed comment and posting hands

    June goals:

    1. 200h
    2. 56 videos, all coachings attended.
    3. 25 days posting 3 hand
    4. 25 days answering all advanced students hands hands
    5. 10K profit
    6. Get back to nl500!
