Hello!

Last week was best one this year 🙂 It started pretty well with €2K day, then 2 ordinary days and another 2K day and Saturday was one of the craziest days I have had. I had so good action but ran quite bad, couldnt win much all-ins. I was about -1600 under EV that day then came one of the craziest guys I have seen to my 600NL table. We had a long battle and he reloaded 3 times (not to full) until I beat him for good. Several times I planned to quit him but didn’t.

His stats before the last hand:

I got €1,3K from him and ended the day +€200, about €2K (570bb) under EV.

Week 54: Played 52h , 7208 hands and won €4337.

Altogether (since start of the CFP): €63178

Hello!

January 2016:

It was pretty good month for me: ended the program, tried NL1K games, played record hours and ended my first month on my own with quite nice results. I wanted to make a new CFP HU record but it was quite struggling month again and I have to be glad I reached to my 3rd 10K+ month in a row.

I played 211,67h and 30982 hands. Made €11626.

Altogether (since start of the CFP): €65095

Hey, Lauri, did you had family support all the time or had to break through it to prove they are wrong? thx

Hey, Lauri, did you had family support all the time or had to break through it to prove they are wrong? thx

Hello!

Yeah my wife were very supporting since the beginning and then I got offensive letters from the system for not playing much at the beginning of my journey and wanted to quit (because my EGO was too big) she told me not to.

About the results for past two weeks. They have been quite horrible although last Sunday was the first good day this month.

Week 55: Played 38,5h , 4307 hands and won €22.

Week 56: Played 50,33h , 6713 hands and won €2006.

Month is still about 0 so have to work hard to turn it around.

I made big change in my poker career. I rented an office and now I’m going to work like regular people 🙂

Its a big change and I hope it pays off because it was quite hard to concentrate for playing if you have background noise (wife, kid and/or TV). No I’m alone (or with my dog) and its much better to work this way. And I also bought a new, 43 inch 4K monitor.

This is my new office and setup:

Hello!

2 weeks from last post. Didn’t want to post anything because last month was the worse I have had since joining the CFP. Before the CFP time it would have been actually a good month 😀

Last day saved it a little bit but still nothing to be happy about.

Week 57: Played 39,6h , 5458 hands and won €229.

Week 58: Played 41,9h , 5247 hands and won €2157.

February 2017:

I was struggling the whole month. Had some good days too but mostly it was break-even. I usually play more then I’m running good and less then I have tough times. So my volume was not very good.

I played 171h and 22603 hands. Made €2844.

Also I didn’t go running as much as I planned and gained some weight. I ran only 146km.

This month goal is to put 180+ hours (200 if having really good month), make new record month, run 200km and loose 2kg.

Good luck everyone (who are not playing against me)

Hello!

Another week has passed. It was still a struggling week but things seem to be getting better. Yesterday I was very near to NL1K bankroll and because games there very juicy I decided to add it. I started with 40bb and quickly got opponent with full stack. I was bit scared until this hand:

SB: $985.58
Hero (BB): $487.67

SB posts SB $5.00, Hero posts BB $10.00

Pre Flop: (pot: $15.00) Hero has A 3

SB raises to $30.00, Hero calls $20.00

Flop: ($60.00, 2 players) 3 Q A
Hero checks, SB bets $43.88, Hero raises to $121.64, SB raises to $423.42, Hero raises to $457.67, SB calls $34.25

Turn: ($975.34, 2 players) A

River: ($975.34, 2 players) 2

Spoiler:
SB shows J 3 (Two Pair, Aces and Threes)
(Pre 24%, Flop 2%, Turn 0%)
Hero shows A 3 (Full House, Aces full of Threes)
(Pre 76%, Flop 98%, Turn 100%)
Hero wins $973.84

I ran quite good against him, got his stack then I flopped a nut straight and he decided to put it in with straight draw. Later he came back and I got another $1K from him. So day was good but at the end of the session I came down €1,5K in smaller stakes and ended the day in €300.

Week 59: Played 51h and 5 minutes , 7168 hands and won €2603.

Non-poker stuff:

I read that some Estonians made a challenge in February to run and/or walk every day of the month at least same number of kilometers as a date. 25 people started it and only 12 finished it. I’m sad that I missed it but I decided to do my own challenge.

So in March I run and/or walk every day at least same amount km as the current date.

First 5 days are already behind me and it was really easy: I ran 32,5km and walk 12,9km.

Next 7 days will be like my usual training and wont be very hard. It gets tougher after that but it seems still doable.

But since 20-21 the real challenge starts and I cant even imagine how I’m gonna do it after 25th because I haven’t run more than 21km in one training since October.

Main reasons to do it is to get in better shape, loose weight and test my mind. Lets see how it all turns out.

Hello!

Last week was this year’s best (full) week. I got so good action (and run good too) in NL1K and that’s there I got most profit from.

Week 60: Played 52,5h, 7197 hands and won €5899.

This week will be less volume than usual because our nanny has 3 days off and so I have 1 half working day (today) and two rest days. But I can spend it with my son and relax a little bit.

2 nice hands from last week:

1. I think it was 3rd hand against him. Don’t know how to comment it 🙂

BB: $800.73
Hero (SB): $1,023.50

Hero posts SB $5.00, BB posts BB $10.00

Pre Flop: (pot: $15.00) Hero has T T

Hero raises to $25.00, BB raises to $800.73, Hero raises to $1,023.50

Flop: ($1,601.46, 2 players) K 4 J

Turn: ($1,601.46, 2 players) Q

River: ($1,601.46, 2 players) Q

Spoiler:
BB shows 5 5 (Two Pair, Queens and Fives)
(Pre 19%, Flop 8%, Turn 5%)
Hero shows T T (Two Pair, Queens and Tens)
(Pre 81%, Flop 92%, Turn 95%)
Hero wins $1,599.96

2. Not much to say here also

Hero (SB): €1,532.22
BB: €830.50

Hero posts SB €5.00, BB posts BB €10.00

Pre Flop: (pot: €15.00) Hero has A Q

Hero raises to €20.00, BB raises to €60.00, Hero calls €40.00

Flop: (€120.00, 2 players) 3 A 9
BB bets €120.00, Hero calls €120.00

Turn: (€360.00, 2 players) 3
BB checks, Hero bets €265.00, BB calls €265.00

River: (€890.00, 2 players) 3
BB bets €385.50 and is all-in, Hero calls €385.50

Spoiler:
Hero shows A Q (Full House, Threes full of Aces)
(Pre 70%, Flop 92%, Turn 95%)
BB shows Q 9 (Full House, Threes full of Nines)
(Pre 30%, Flop 8%, Turn 5%)
Hero wins €1,659.00

About my running challenge:

I ran every day except Monday then I walked for 6,4km. Altogether 51,8km of running and 21,2km of walking.

From this week its getting harder 🙂

Hello!

Long time from last post again.

It was quite a struggling at some point but the month ended with quite OK results.

Week 61: Played 36,5h, 5143 hands and won €3763.

Week 62: It was the worse week I have had since I joined CFP. It could have been even worse but on Sunday I got €1,5K . Played 42,5h, 5277 hands and result was -€2047.

March 2017:

I played 200,25h and 27184 hands. Made best month this year €11851

Altogether (since start of the CFP): €79790

About non poker stuff.

I failed my running challenge. Everything was going fine until 18th. I walked 3km + ran 15,5km that day and thought its not that hard. But same evening I had pretty bad chills and I felt sick all night and next day I couldn’t tell if Im sick or not. I decided to walk as much as I can and made 11km but not more. So this challenge was over me.

At the end of the month I started to make some quicker runs and was surprised that I moved faster than I expected. On March I ran altogether 239km.

About weight loss. It was promising at some point but then I weighed myself today I discovered that I have gained another 0,5kg. Horrible.

Goals for the April:

Play 180h+

Loose 2kg

Run 250km

Do offtable work 1h every day and work with my mindset (Mindset Acadamy).

Good luck to everyone (who is not playing against me)

Muscle weights more than fat grimace You even move faster, I think that means good progress. Many people are fixed on what the scale shows, but it the least important, especially if you are only looking at the Kg.

Good luck!

Hi!

Thanks for the comment. I know that muscle weights more and Im in the better shape than I was then I started running back in the 2010 and was 5kg lighter. But still I ate myself a little belly and need to get rid of if. I would be much faster if I loose 6-7kg. And I also want to reduce my fat percentage.

Results from last 2 weeks:

Week 63: It was very good and productive week. I played 52,2h, 7685 hands and made this years best full week €6160 thanks to one €3K day.

Week 64: After a good week I thought that nothing will stop me and I keep crushing but on Tuesday my dream fell apart – I had my biggest loosing day -€3,2K after 2h and 15 minutes of play. Also my parents visited us and I had my first running competition this year, so the volume was quite low. I Played 40,75h, 4961 hands and result was -€1258.

Offtopic

Saturday I had this running competition. It was 7km run. Last year I ran my personal record 25.44 (3.41 per km) in this distance. I was in really good shape back then. This year I thought that it will be good if I can run 27.00 (3.52) but my main concern was my friend who wants to win me badly. Last year he ran 27.28 so I new it will be good competition. After the start I stayed right behind him and controlled the run. I felt really good and about 3.8km there was drinking point. Everyone from our group went and grabbed a drink and thats then I knew its my chance. I changed a gear and got quickly 15-20m lead before my friend. I pushed it until I reached to the front group and then took it easier a little bit. One guy from that group encouraged me to push it more, I told him that with that belly (and pointed myself) its very hard to run any faster but somehow I felt really good and added the speed. So before the last km I had pretty good lead in front of my friend and I took it easier. I ended 26.50 and friend came with 27.06. So next times it will be really close unless I loose some weight and train more 🙂

Good luck at the tables to everyone who is not playing against me!
