    partypoker – $0.05 NL (6 max) – Holdem – 6 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

    SB: 100 BB
    BB: 100 BB
    UTG: 53 BB
    Hero (MP): 159.6 BB
    CO: 190.4 BB
    BTN: 102.8 BB (VPIP: 82, PFR: 9, Hands: 20)

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 6 A

fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, BTN calls 3 BB, fold, fold

    Flop: (7.4 BB, 2 players) 4 A 2
Hero bets 5.6 BB, BTN calls 5.6 BB

    Turn: (18.6 BB, 2 players) A
Hero bets 13.2 BB, BTN raises to 26.4 BB, Hero calls 13.2 BB

    River: (71.4 BB, 2 players) 9
Hero checks, BTN bets 51 BB, Hero?,

    Q1: Do we call or re-rasie T?

A1: Min-raise from villain seems weak, but we only are ahead of worse trips (A5,A3).. . Calling seems best option here, with his stats i expect a lot of worse hands in his range he could be bluffing when the 2nd A hit the flop.

    Q2: Do we call river?

A2: No, he is betting now 2/3 pot  and a lot of Ax beat us, also A4,A2,A9,99,44 and 22 are in his range as well. Fish don’t bluff Turn and River, we fold.

your villain is not a fish but a whale…82/9 in such a small sample

    we do not respect minbets

i agree that your kicker is bad.. against a reg we would could fold… but your villain is a whale

Imagine that your villain, just called on the turn… what would you have done on the river ??. I would have gone all in on the river…….

as played i would make a snap call

Why would you ever think a fish would never bluff the turn and river…. thats all that they do

If he calls the T i’m def betting the river with trips for 1/2 and fold if he shoves.
Which bluff range you put this fish then by the river ?

I am still new to poker so theres a chance i could be wrong , but he played the hand like he was repping a boat , and with his stats and postion i feel like any Ax is in his range , however , I almost feel like he just saw your river check as weakness so thats why I feel he bet that .

as for the turn , I feel like you  could have re-raised , but i think just calling wasnt a bad play either

It is useless to put a range for a whale…they would play any 2 cards.

we donot respect minraises…..I agree 3B on the turn could be better because we are OOP( out of position)   but I would not 3B all in , I would just 3B small and try to induce him to 4B all in

If we were IP ( in position) i would not 3B  the turn and just called and raised all in on the river

    A1. How about folding OTT?
A2. If you do decide to call OTT, then fold OTR.

A1.After reviewing this hand again here at the forum it seems an option too. I can see a fold too there but at my current skill level i doubt that i will fold it at game speed…

A2. YEs, i didn’t spoiler the hand as I care more about the decision at the later streets. At the end i fold it the hand, after the session, while reviewing i start asking myself if was a good fold.

    Thanx for the feedback l3roy
