    Q: Check-raise turn?

A: In general unsure how to play trips, often end up bluffcatching. With TK and a nonconnected board I think I loose value just bluffcatching. In this particular hand CR would be more profiteble but that’s resultoriented. We should get called by a lot of worse hands if CR turn, villain call-range AA,JJ-TT,88,KTs,QTs,JTs,QdJd,9d8d,ATo. On a brick R (3c) we would’ve 50% equity if no OP (TT,88,KTs,QTs,JTs,ATo) C, if we throw in half of AA we got 63% on R. I think I should CR turn.

For now I’m bluffcathing with trips. Think I’ve missed some video or tips how to best play these situations.

We have to follow standard lines and in this scenario we are supposed to raise Flop to 10bb, bet Turn big 66% pot size + shove River!

If we raise Flop and he re-raises us we have an easy stack off with Trips Top Kicker. Here we use Top Three Kikers Rule for stack off so we go all-in vs a re-raise with AT,KT,QT(but KT and QT we dont have because we dont call preflop from BB vs UTG with them). If we have JTs here we call down vs a re-raise we are not shoving.

As played, at least raise big Turn+bet big River!

You should have 100 BB all the time. And just follow the standard line and make life easier. OPP looks like a big fish so maybe he jam on the flop with OP…

I must have missed a course or forgotten. In my head “better let them bluff cause what are they going to call with on a dry paired board?”, with a low kicker I can see that make sense. I think I’ve missunderstood something along the way. I agree with you and confirm I need to look this up.

    Thanks for reply.

Poker Stars doesn’t allow auto-rebuy in my country since 1st of january ’cause new legislation. Other sites still do I mailed them about it.

But I agree I need to CR the flop. Think I lost a lot of value in this hand. Had to post it to check if I missundersttod some lines which I clearly have.

    Thanks for reply.
