Yeah, exactly… I dont know anybody in my area who earns his money with playing Poker, i dont even know people in reallife who play Poker. I didnt told anybody that i want to become a Poker Player. They would probably just laugh at me… Well i didnt till today! So i decided to take the next Step towards my “Career” as a Poker Player and told my friends, that im likely qutting Uni to make some real Money with Poker. Well, they laughed at it and told me i cant archieve it anyways, but i want to prove them WRONG!
Thanks for reading my Blog! My Name is Thomas and im a 20 year old Law-Student from Bavaria in Germany.
My Journey started back in August 2014 where a friend of mine told me, there is that new Interesting Card Game called “Hearthstone”! We decided to play it and i sucked so hard! You wouldnt believe… My Friend understood it right away, where else i was just mindblown. It was around that time, where i noticed, that i have a fighter attidute. He beat me everytime we played against each other. So i made that plan, to become a serious Opponent someday! It took me almost 3 Years, endless hours of playing, archieving pretty much everything archievable in this game, to be satisfied!
You might think, why am i telling this? Well during that time, i also learned something about me: I am by no meaning any Genious and I have some SERIOUS Tilt Issues!
I cant tell how often i yelled at my Screen when i sucked out once again…
I worked on the Tilt Problem by myself and i made an amazing progress. I have definately changed in this regard. Also Gordon did some pretty good Job with his Tilt-free Course, which i am sure, will help me a lot in future aswell!
At the time when Uni started, i quickly found out, that im not finishing my law-Study! Its so dry and boring.
With all that free time, i decided to do, what i always wanted to do anyways, i started playing Poker. I read like tons of Articles and Books about Poker, i watched some serious amount of Videos and i had some great Success in the beginning.
My Career started with a 50$ Bankroll on Pokerstars and it took me around 1 Month to reach the 100$. Everything went well, so i decided to make the next step and move up to NL5.
Having only some moderate Success at NL5, i found the CFP Programm! So i thought lets take a try!
Im really happy to be part of the BPC Community and i hope i do well enough, to justify my decisions!

Im Updating this Blog probably 3 or 4 times a week, but first of all i have to create a schedule.

Hey Thomas, welcome to the team!! Good luck on your journey, man =)March 9, 2018 at 12:40 pm #403309
Thanks for the Welcoming Words 🙂
Its been a while since i started this blog. I will regularly update this blog from now on.
At the moment, im on Holidays and i cant play nearly as much as i liked to play… Basically started last Saturday and trying to get a few hours a day. But once im at home again, i set my Goal to play atleast 35h a week. I watched a lot of the Courses Videos, took some Notes but for now i wanna get in the Hours on the Table and upload my first database asap.
About my Play: First i have to say, that the NoBs Book is great! I know the Preflop Charts by Heart and it really works well on NL2. Also i included Table Selection into my Pre-Game Strategy. I never looked for Tables with high VPIP but now i do and i get rewarded with a great Winrate! When it comes to “Calling an Opener” or “3Bet/Fold” i still struggle and i just dont 3Bet/Fold too often.. So im definately focusing on that in the next couple days. With Postflop-Play i feel much better with everyday im playing. But i still have to keep up and learn Postflop-play every day.
About me: I did get angry, when my aces got cracked or i got sucked out a lot. But i dont care that much anymore! Not gonna lie, i had a Session yesterday where i started tilting and spewing a little bit but as soon as i noticed it, i shut down my Computer and left. In future i want to train my Mental game a lot. Beeing able to quickly notice when i start tilting will save me a lot of money in the long run!
Im back home in 9 Days and then i want to start planning out my Days and play 35h a week. Im crushing NL2 over a very short sample and i want to move up the Limits asap! See you then!March 18, 2018 at 11:05 pm #406703
Its been a while but… Last Week i played 11 hours, but i was in Amsterdam the entire week with a friend and could only play at night times. (Tried to play as much as possible tho)
I finally played my first 10k Hands and had a 22bb/100 result on NL2. Im really happy that it worked that well but now im just waiting for the analysis of my hands.
While i played i recognized that i have some Problems with the 3Bet/Fold and BB Charts.
Also i did recognized that i can’t leave a table full of fishes even though i was clearly tilting! Thats really bad and i was so dissapointed at myself… Well i guess i have to work on my mindset in the next few days. Looking forward to do the Mindset Exercises Gordon recommended in his Videos!
Goals for the Week:
So this is my first Week where i start to play serious! I wanna make a 35h Week of only playing and then do atleast 20h of reviewing hands, posting them in the forum and watchting the Course Videos.
-> Do 50 Uhlvar Equity Hands each day and post the results
-> Play 35h this week
-> Post 5 Hands to the Forum each day
-> Attend every coaching session this week
-> watch the last 4 Alan Jackson Coachings and make Notes (wasnt able to join any of them sadly…)
-> Finish the “On the Turn” Bootcamp Session
-> Submit the next 10k Hands until end the week
-> Study my Notes/3Bet/Fold / BB Charts
My Daily Routine:
So i set up a clear Plan for each day, so i can get the most out of my day and have a strict plan! I dont know how it will work but im going to try it for the first week and then i can adjust the plan how i think works the best:
7.00 – 7.45: Stand up, Breakfast and review some hands from yesterday Session
8.00 – 12.00: Play 4 hours Poker
12.00 – 14.00: 2 Hour Break
14.00 – 17.00: Play 3 more hours Poker
17.00 – 18.00: Go over some hands from todays session and review them
19.00 – 23.00: Post 5 Hands in the Forum, Update my Blog, Alan Jackson Coaching, Bootcamp “On the Turn”, Make Notes and learn them!
Hope i can keep up with my Goals!
See you guysMarch 19, 2018 at 11:15 am #406740
Its 11am and i already hit my Stoploss. Sucked out like 3 times against this huge fish on my table and i started tilting and spewing but wasnt able to leave the table! I could have avoided this but i just couldnt resist to win the money back! Thats a huge Issue and i have to solve it asap!
Never got 3Bet that often and i wasnt able to adjust accordingly!
—> How to Adjust: Only open the Top of my Range and fold the rest!
I really dont like how i played today. Im not sad about the results, im just dissapointed in myself! If i think about it, thats all stuff i already learned and then on the table im just fixed to this huge fish and i can’t stand up! For tomorrow i do the “Punctuality Quit Exercise”! Thought i can leave a table whenever i want, but that isn’t the case at all!
After i hit my Stoploss, i did the Uhlvar Equity Hands: 50 Hands/ Avg. Error: 6.51/ Avg. Time: 14.0
Didnt do to great here aswell. Goal is Avg Error under 5 and Avg Time under 10s and then improve from there!
Now im gonna Review the Hands and post them in the Forum.
Later i gonna watch the Alan Jackson Coachings make some Notes and learn the Notes.
I hope i do much better tomorrow, so i can get the 35h of play for this week!
See you tomorrow!March 20, 2018 at 10:53 pm #407393
A very intensed day has come to an end. First Day i get the 7 hours of Play in! I was kinda happy about my Plays but in the Handreview later that day i found quite a lot of Mistakes.
For example: I do call 2nd Pair in a MW Pot as the Preflop Caller too often, where else when im the Aggressor Preflop i do only bet 50% Pot with 2nd Pair when its clearly said to be 75% in the Book. Same goes for Gutshots, seems like i love them way too much!
But im happy to found those leaks! Actively trying to do better in tomorrows Session.
Yesterday i said i would do the “Punctuality Quit Exercise” but to be honest i completely forgot about this! So i made a Note and left it on my Desktop Table, so i can do this tomorrow!
My Uhlvar Equity Results today: 50 Hands/ Avg. Error: 5.68/ Avg. Time: 9.74
Keep getting better but nowhere near where i want to be!
Reviewed 55 Hands today and posted 7 in the Forum. So i have a few Hands for Tomorrows Coaching Session aswell.
All that Stuff took me way longer than i expected it, so i can’t watch “We Bet Flop and get called, bet turn (2nd Barrel) or not with Draws” today but i will squeeze that in for tomorrow.
Yesterday i had a lot of time so i watched all the latest Alan Jackson coachings that i missed and made Notes about that. Trying to learn those Notes before i start my session so i have most of it still in my Mind during i play!
Hope i can get lot more things done tomorrow! See ya.March 21, 2018 at 10:55 pm #408041
Todays Sessions went really good! Got into a lot of Situations which i reviewed yesterday, so i was one step ahead of my Opponents.
Overall i played close to 2.500 Hands in 7h. At the Moment im playing 4 Tables, but i also tried out 5 Tables for one hour today. Its probably a little bit too early for 5 Tables, so i stick to 4 Tables and add the 5th next month, when im really 100% sure in Postflop Play. Yet i still make a little bit too much Mistakes Postflop so i have to keep improving there!
I noticed that im letting a lot of Value behind, by not betting the River! Im somewhat afraid of Straights, which my Opponent clearly can not have etc…. Noticed that in my Todays Handreview. Hope i can fix this soon. Im Comfortable in 3Bet/Folding now and i learned today how to play Postflop if my Bluff got called and i hit Top Pair.
My Uhlvar Equity Results today: 50 Hands/Avg. Error: 7.48/ Avg. Time: 8.76
Started really good but messed up in the end. Tried to hit a good time result! But i should concentrate on my Mistakes first and then work on my time!
Reviewed 40 Troublesome Hands today and posted 6 in the Forum.
Now its already pretty late but i want to watch the Bootcamp Video before i go to sleep!
Another 12h day of Practicing goes to an end! Hope you guys doing good aswell. See ya tomorrowMarch 22, 2018 at 6:00 pm #408345
Lord of the Kings, that would be the Name of my Book (If i would ever write one haha). The last Couple of Days i had this feeling that i get more KK than i do get any other Premium-Pair. Today i counted them and it turns out that the Kings do like me much more than the Aces or Queens. Over 3.000 Hands played today i got 21 Kings, 11 Aces and only 8 Queens… Also if i didnt hit the KK i did pretty good in catching AK, i counted 54 times for AK. But enough for that!
In my early Session on PartyPoker today i hit some great Results again, got the money back, which i did lost on Monday and made even more. Tables were soft, i spoted all the fishes already… Its a pity that HM2 doesnt work on PartyPoker… But anyways, im getting used to the NL2 Scene there and i start crushing.
In the Afternoon Session on Pokerstars i did miserable! After i came back from lunch, i just felt so outpowered, had a hard time remember the easiest stuff. Couldnt concentrate at all. Had to go from 4 Tables back to 3. Had to look up for Postflop Play… I never had such a Session. I probably should have quited after a Hour already but i kept playing, hoping it gets better!
After 1.400 Hands and 3,5h of play i called it a day. Luckily i did only loose 1,5$.
My Uhlvar Equity Results today: 50 Hands/Avg. Error: 5.56/ Avg. Time: 10.9
Took extra time to hit a better Result. Its getting better and better.
Now im going to Review all the marked Hands, and post the most troublesome in the Forum.
Later i probably watch another Bootcamp Course and then call it a day!
See you.March 23, 2018 at 2:33 pm #408538
Today i had a great first Session. Played 1854 Hands and won 23,84bb/100. In the end, i hit a 11,1bb/100 on 6746 Hands. I was able to recover from the Hole i put myself in on Monday.
On Pokerstars i have a -0,87bb/100 winrate over 3910 Hands. Didnt to to great here, but my main Goal was to focus on PartyPoker, which i succeeded.
My Plan is to play 15k Hands each week, unless i hit the Stoploss then i want to play 12k Hands. Sounds reasonable for now. Im playing 4 Tables at the moment but next week, i want to try and squeeze in some hours of 5 Tables and then see if i can keep up and still manage to make good plays.
I decided to play my 2nd Session today in the evening, because i heard tables are softer on Friday evening and Saturday evening.
Saturday and Sunday i want to take those days off pretty much. Want to visit Saturday and Sunday Coaching Session and continue with the Bootcamp but i dont see myself playing too much Poker those 2 Days. After 12h of Playing Poker and learning from Mo-Fr its also important to get some rest!
I already did the Uhlvar Equity, here are the Results: 50 Hands/ Avg. Error: 5.99/ Avg. Time: 10.7
For the next week, i want to keep the same Schedule as this week but i try to watch more Bootcamp Videos, didnt watched too much this week!
Have a great Weekend Guys!March 26, 2018 at 9:15 am #408856
The Weekend was horrible. It started with the Friday Night Session, which i couldnt play because i was so tired and felt asleep before i was able to start.
On Saturday i wanted to join the Alan Jackson Coaching, but i wasnt able to. Had to help my Dad with the Car. Changed the Tires and installed a new Exhaust. After that it was already Afternoon and i had to buy some Groceries for my Grandma.
Eventually i found some time in the late afternoon to play a few hours. The Plan was, playing 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday to reach my 35h. After 3h of play i already hit the Stoploss again, the 2nd time this week! So i turned off the PC and watched some TV for the rest of the Day. On Sunday i got sick! Did join the Alan Jackson coaching, but thats all i did pretty much. Puked 4 times during the day and was the whole day in my bed! Couldnt watch any Bootcamp Course nor playing the 4h of Poker.
Today i took that day off aswell, dont feel too good overall! Gonna take some rest until the evening and then im gonna drive back to my Appartment and start the Week on Tuesday!
Didnt do Uhlvar Equity in 3 days now aswell. Maybe i do 100 Uhlvar Equity Hands on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then switch back to 50, but im not sure!
Probably dont make the 35h this week aswell but i try to get atleast 30h! For the next week, i want to make 35h then for sure!
Have a good week guys!March 27, 2018 at 10:05 pm #409378
Finally back at it again! First long grinding Day since Thursday. I played 5h in the morning on PartyPoker and 3h Afternoon on Pokerstars. Im still on a Downswing. After i lost 5BIs on Saturday and 1,5BIs yesterday (played a short 300 Hands Session in the Afternoon), i still wasnt able to make a profit today. Lost only 1 BI today but still not the result i am aiming for.
Had a hard start today but it got better and better. I think i left some Value by not 3Bet/folding vs certain Opponents. Have to go over this Chart again in the next couple of days.
I also noticed that i do respect Donkbets on the Flop way too much! For the next Sessions i do want to raise Donkbets OTF with TP+ and FD+ more often.
Already reviewed 35 Hands of Todays Session and postet 6 in the Forum.
As i said in yesterdays Post, i want to make 100 Uhlvar Equity Hands a day this week.
The first 50 Hands were really solid: Avg. Error: 5.11/ Avg. Time: 11.6
but on the next 50 Hands, which i did like 2hours after the first sample i had much more problems.. -> Avg. Error: 6.14/ Avg. Time: 13.2
Now im going to watch a Bootcamp Course, make some Notes and then take some rest!
Hope you had a great day!
See yaMarch 28, 2018 at 10:29 pm #409779
Im feeling great today! Played for 1 hour in the morning on PartyPoker with decent success, then it crashed somehow and i switched to Pokerstars for the rest of the Morning Session. On Pokerstars i made like 5,5$ in 3,5h. Which gave me a sign of relief… Maybe my Downswing would be over. In the Afternoon Session, i played on PartyPoker and i made almost 7$ in Profit. Finally i see the light at the end of the tunnel here haha.
Overall i think i played solid. Still have some Problems with 3Bet/Folding and Iso raising but im working on that. I noticed that i also have a big Problem when it comes to Donkbets. I dont raise them enough! So for the rest of the week im exclusively working on that first, cause that happens so often on NL2.
Brought in some Hands for the Coaching Session today and made some Notes. Gone through the Notes later in the evening.
Reviewed 20 Problematic Hands today and posted 6 to the Forum.
Have to say this helps a lot in developing a good thought process and improving as a Pokerplayer.
Uhlvar Equity went great today aswell! In my first 50 Hands i had Avg. Error: 4.87 and Avg. Time: 12.9
the second 50 Hands were even better: Avg. Error: 4.05/ Avg. Time: 12.3
I already like the Avg. Error so far, now i have to work on the time to get Avg Error under 5 in under 10 sec.
I just bought the “How to make Notes” Course, which i want to watch on the weekend!
But for now im just continue with the Bootcamp!
See you tomorrowMarch 29, 2018 at 10:38 pm #410018
Todays Session on PartyPoker started really good. Run extremely good in the beginning. Hit 3 times Top 2 Pairs in my first 200 Hands. In the end it got rough and i lost all my profits i made in those early hours in only 3 Hands. I was deep stacked in all those Hands and it hurt really much. One time i hit the Fullhouse and my Opponent hit a better Fullhouse by the River, no way i can fold here, so i stacked off 150bb. That was the highlight of the day. In the end i made like 1,30$ over 2200 Hands on PartyPoker.
Luckily this didnt affected my Mood at all! Even though i had a really though start on Pokerstars today, lost like 3$ in 400 Hands, i played my A-Game and ended on 2,5$ Profit on Pokerstars after almost 1k Hands. So i played a little more than 3k Hands today and made almost 4$ Profit. Cant complain.
Uhlvar Equity 1:
50 Hands/ Avg. Error: 7.61/ Avg. Time: 14.0
Wow, im not used to such a bad result right here haha… but luckily…
Uhlvar Equity 2:
50 Hands/ Avg. Error: 4.02/ Avg. Time: 14.5
… I did way better in the second run!
I already reviewed the Hands and posted some to the Forum.
No Bootcamp Course today, but i want to watch a lot more in the next week.
Hope you had a great day guys!March 30, 2018 at 10:21 pm #410185
Eastern is close. Yesterday in the evening i drove back to my Parents House, to stay Eastern with them. That also means that im not gonna play Poker that much in the next Days.
Anyways today i played 3,5h. In the beginning it didnt worked out that well but once i already played 2 hours i got there. I reached my A-Game. Now i have to focus and learn to play my A Game right on Spot!
Didnt found the time for Uhlvar Equity unfortunately, but im continuing tomorrow again.
For the next days i want to play a few hours daily, make the Uhlvar, visit the Coachings and do Bootcamp Courses. I want to do a lot Bootcamp when im at my Familys house.
Have a great Eastern guys,
See you on Tuesday!
