Hello everyone! And first of all I’m very sorry for my English. I’ve studied it at school and university and never had any spoken practice or anything like this. Also I’m gonna to write here a lot – so just don’t have time to check spelling etc. I’ll try my best not to enrage readers with stupid mistakes but don’t think I’ll manage with this properly.Secondly – yeah, I’m a huge fan of Rihanna and the name of the topic refers a bit to the name of her album. As for me:My name is Jenya in russian – I guess you can call me Eugene, live near Moscow, 24 years old, single (not even have a gf), have plenty of spare time and wanna change my f**king life. Poker career is like this (hope you see the image – here is the link for it, if not http://gyazo.com/657a74eea034914af7bb18837497d545):In spite of not the worst amount of profit – it’s just the result of good gameselection and playing not more than 6-7 tables at 100nl on Stars. When I tried to play 200nl this week – my ass was kicked very hard. After that I started searching for ways of improving my poker skill, found this site, LOVED it really (already watched half of Mastering 3betpots in 2k15) and now I know that I will be part of the next wave of 6max CFP. Writing here is just the way of proving my rights for this. Yeah, I know that it’s hard to expect a lot while I’ve never played more than I think 50k hands a month and for last 3 years was a lazy ass. But everything changed when I saw the goal. It was like “Oh, I don’t need to think what am I doing this or that thing for any more – here is your destination, man”.So the plan is – to play as many hours for the next 2-3-123 months as it is possible while I have 3 workouts at the gym (3 hours each) and 1 for dancing and practicing English a week. The rest of the time would be spent on poker.ps Gordon, even if I fail, anyway thx for bringing so huge piece of motivation into my life. I really like to be focused, the life tastes so good at such moments.pps Just like to add some music to most part of big posts at forum to listen then my favorite songs 🙂 Unfortunately didn’t manage to insert video from youtube. The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp4UwPZfRis

    Here is the first report.

A lot of things were done today – watched I guess 6 videos from “Mastering 3bp” course, attended QnA session of Gordon (that is where the idea of this topic creation came to me), had workout at the gym and played 3 sessions.

HM says they were only 182 minutes combined ;( Thought that played longer today. Maybe because playing while every second turning to new charts from the course is quite severe task. After an hour of playing you feel exhausted  👿 Ok, tomorrow will play more, need to train my stamina for a while.

Also didn’t have enough tables – played most of the time between 3 and 5 although the usual number is 6-7 – Tuesday is a reason. No such problems between Friday and Monday inclusively. Anyway, here is a graph:

Charts from the course are great, my red line went back to where it usually was when I started playing 100nl 2 years ago. Since then usually it was at breakeven. Guess I started to defend blinds better and there is a bit of influence from regs who see my previous statistics which is not true any more. See you tomorrow, will try to make several posts every day.

Thx guys, appreciate it!Hate playing in the morning just cause of this situation when you play 2-3 tables for half an hour (there is no more fish in the morning) and is bored already and start doing like this shit: (opponent is fish 55/35 5bb or every second hand – pfr 45% from ep).

Thx dude! Yeah, you will not regret, it’s def. worth watching.

Some huge fish made my day. Actually thought would win 1-2 hundred more  😆 But it’s ok. 3 sessions 258minutes combined – +70minutes comparatively to yesterday – I’m also glad about this growth.

    1) One more easy fold, though it’s kinda cheap. But I would definitely better spend this 15euro for a dinner

P.s. Watched I guess 3 hours of Mastering 3bpots course more today, and my brain was like completely f**ked out )) Poker information in language which I have to translate into my mind – tough thing to watch. Luckily it influences my game great – will definitely continue watching  😉

p.p.s. Why when I try to edit the post – all the formating of it (new lines etc.) just disappears – and it is like plain text?  🙁  Have to copy initial version every time.

No hands and graphics for today. Returned from the gym workout with just empty energy bar. And even after 2 meals felt like a man whose only desire is to sleep  😕  Luckily had a lot of education stuff to do and watched videos from Mastering 3bpots till I just couldn’t catch what the author is saying – it took 5.5 hours. Only 7.5 videos left to watch. Just to make a fatality to my brain will spend now couple of hours in equilab and go to sleep.

Actually I have such days quite often (I guess just every time I start spending a lot of time on poker this day comes after 3-4-5 days of work) and I tried to play during them every time cause I just “had to” and expected myself to do so. Predictably it ended well very rarely  cause playing poker is not like a routine job (like math things in equilab eg)  where you have to submit strict instructions and do simple things, but is more like an art which requires passion. And when you’re indifferent about who will take the next pot – you end up completely broken.

Plan to have something like marathon (poker version) the next few days, at Sunday maybe. The goal is to try playing as much for 1 day, as I’ve never done before – unassuming, still huge for me ~10 hours. Hope that this will let me play more in usual days as well (like 5km-run is much easier for someone who can run 10km). Stay tuned.

    Also made some mistakes:

    1) No stats for cold4bet, but a man is tight as rock 22/15/5 (vpip/pfr/3b). We definitely can’t shove, however even versus KK+, AKs+ our queens have 27% eq. Just not sure whether I’ll be able to realize enough of this equity in 50bb pot on flop. We just hope that a flop would be xxx without A/K and he would check.

    Results: $21.50 pot
BB mucked and won $21.50 ($12.50 net)

    2) Here is a mistake I think. Fish (53/16) is aggressive: 60% bet on turn, 45% on river, 9/15 fold to cbet flop, only 100hands of history. But even if he is crazy – we can’t call. Assuming his range is not a simple task cause it’s hard to split his hands between 1) call flop-bet turn and 2) raise flop lines. Here is what I’ve got: all flushes, combodraws, 7x. Even if he donks pot with shit like 66 with 6h, QhJx and so on – we have 31.6% eq. And we need 36%.

Regarding he had high fold vs flop cbet – ez fold. If a fish had been passive – I would have folded during the game.

    3) Standart play till the river vs reg. Maybe flop Cbet should be higher. And on the river terrible bluff I guess. Unfortunately don’t know how to analyze these spots. We have 4 A6s and 4 JTs in our range. Also will definitely valuebet 88-99 (6 combos), KK (3), AA is questionable. The problem is that he doesn’t have a lot of middle hands in his range cause TT-JJ are 4betting pre. T9-J9s, A9s. Will post this hand for review with more detailed ideas when have enough time.

10-HOUR challenge completed!   😀 EZ  😎 Even not tired. It’s kinda strange, cause after 10 hours of playing I feel much better than after first 3 hours when I was exhausted and weary  😉

Sorry for not covering the whole daily marathon live, just didn’t want to lose concentration. Here are the results (in the morning there were only 2-4 tables w fish – so only 400-420 hands/hour on average)

Here is a brief history of last week. After accomplishing “10-hour” challenge last Sunday I suffered huge psychological problem. I am familiar with this problem for a long time and it causes a lot of inconvenience. It is that you can’t do same work after achieving smth in this area recently. It’s like psychological  burden that doesn’t give you enough strength to make a simple step. Actually I managed to open the poker client and continue playing only on Friday – and then it was completely fine, like I totally forgot about last Sunday. But from Monday to Thursday I felt like I’ve already gave my all a few days ago.

Although I couldn’t play for 4 days – I was pretty happy with studying – so I watched “Mastering 3bet pots” course to the end, made 20 pages of notes, and now I’m busy with rewatching some difficult parts and making short version (3pages for all course) of summary. Also bought and started watching “How to crush fish” course, but still don’t have opinion on it – checked only first 3 videos.

Played 4 hours on Friday, 6 hours on Saturday and again 10 hours yesterday. Finished every day with failure loosing 200-400bbs at the end of last session. Felt especially terrible about that yesterday. Slept badly after that and tried to regain a couple of stacks today’s morning but it was all in vain – my mind now is just too agitated to play A-game. Stopped making this attempts and started writing this post ) Feel like I need to take a break from poker for few days again to calm down.

Finally, referring to my skill – it increased since starting of this blog and learning some stuff from BPC courses for sure. Here’s the graphic from January 20:

Plans for the nearest future are: complete second watching and summarizing of “Mastering 3bpots” course, do same work for “How to crush fish” course. While doing this continue grinding 100nl and after doing that try again to play 200nl (although just memorials about how aggressive are even fishy players (not mentioning regs) betting and raising every spot and every street make me start tilting).

    Hello, friends!

It’s been a long time since last post in this blog and the main reason was my health unfortunately.  I had problems with my stomach which came out to be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastroesophageal_reflux_disease. It is the process when a food with acid from stomach goes to the upper levels of digestive system (gullet) and does a lot of harm there. Main reasons are wrong diet/stresses/sport activity. And I have all these factors (actually I eat quite healthy food due to my bodybuilding passion but later it turned out to be insufficient) – stresses at poker tables (I take every bad card on turn/river very emotionally – especially in big pots – shame on me), high pressure in the abdominal area during lifting of high weights at the gym.

Anyway, whatever actual reason was – the fact is that for the whole week I suffered terrible pain in my gullet in the chest area. The good news is that combination of diet changing, sports load reduction and taking some pills lessened  symptoms a lot yesterday and today I’m back to the tables.

Another pleasant surprise was that even after skipping a week of play the effect of “10hour sundays” still works – it is MUCH easier to play longer sessions now. Nevertheless I’ll think about the expediency of this style of playing, cause in spite of it advantages it seems to be a big stress for a body and can be a real reason of my stomach issues.

Small piece of analysis of one default spot when we play OOP in SRP. (from last session where I had little WSD and started getting nervous and doubting whether my game is good enough  😀  ).

Playing versus nit with 20/16/7 stats, no fishes on blinds. COvsMP 3b is 6%.

Whether to cbet flop is a question of your style but I cbet definitely (playing w 65-70% cbet). Main question is our plan from turn.

Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold’em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager – The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    SB: $139.50 (139.5 bb)
    BB: $119.18 (119.2 bb)
    UTG: $28.55 (28.6 bb)
    Hero (MP): $100 (100 bb)
    CO: $132.74 (132.7 bb)
    BTN: $112.17 (112.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with J J
UTG folds, Hero raises to $3, CO calls $3, 3 folds

    Flop: ($7.50) 5 Q 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $5, CO calls $5

    Turn: ($17.50) A (2 players)
Hero bets $11, CO calls $11

    River: ($39.50) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $29, Hero folds

    Results: $39.50 pot ($1.78 rake)
    Final Board: 5 Q 2 A 5
Hero mucked J J and lost (-$19 net)
CO mucked and won $37.72 ($18.72 net)

Don’t think he has a raising range on F – so its quite easy to make his range to T. It’s like:

So if he doesn’t call COvsMP KQo preflop (and it’s quite reasonable for a nit) – it’s easy spot where we can’t xfold immediately on the turn cause we just have too much equity. And if we can’t fold – I would choose bet/fold rather than xcall.

Then if he calls 40% of KQo pre and folding 66-77 on flop we have 45% of equity (or 47% of FE if he folds everything below Qx). So we have a profitable bluff with any hand that we cbeted flop.

Actually with bottom of our range (like 77 or KJ) we should barrel bluffing/semibluffing and with exactly JJ versus passive opponents can xdown versus 88-TT. With Ax we obviously always have VB.

Seems to be played nice for me, can go back to tables 🙂
