Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 6
Hero raises to $1, BB calls $0.50

    Flop: ($2) 5 3 2 (2 players)
BB bets $0.50, Hero raises to $2, BB calls $1.50

    Turn: ($6) J (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4.50, BB calls $4.50

    River: ($15) T (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $5, BB folds

    Results: $15 pot ($0.75 rake)
    Final Board: 5 3 2 J T
BB showed 9 4 and lost (-$7.50 net)

This guy should learn that hero-folding 9 high is never a good idea

Now another week has come to an end and I must say time just flies with this lifestyle.  It has now been almost 2 months since I started and so far I have experienced some periods with good results and some periods with not so good results. I think it was a good experience that I had to drop down from NL100 after the first shot because now I will know what it’s like for my next shot/dropping down stakes. It’s a bummer of course, but no big deal at all in the big picture. More important than the results I have learned a lot of poker strategy, and keep on learning new stuff every week.

This week have been breakeven. I was up about €300 before my last session which I just quit now, so not in the best mood atm but hey that’s poker.

Start of this week has not been too good. Poker results has been quite bad and on tuesday I was at the dentist to pull out a couple of wisdom teeth. One of them took quite a long time to pull out because the root was curved. Now it looks like I’ve been punched pretty hard in the face. I took tuesday off because it hurt quite a bit after the extraction.

Today I had a pretty crazy match vs an aggressive calling station. At one point I was down about €300 on him, but I knew that he was calling so light and making crazy moves so I just had to be patient and in the end I should get it back. Rake killed any profits though, but pretty happy that he stayed till I won it back minus the rake.

    Biggest losing hands

    Hero (BB): $103.60 (103.6 bb)
    SB: $160.93 (160.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6 5
SB raises to $2, Hero calls $1

    Flop: ($4) 4 5 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $4, Hero calls $4

    Turn: ($12) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $12, Hero raises to $24, SB calls $12

    River: ($60) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $30, SB raises to $60, Hero folds

    Results: $120 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: 4 5 2 3 8
Hero mucked 6 5 and lost (-$60 net)
SB mucked and won $118.50 ($58.50 net)

I should have raised bigger on the turn in this hand I guess, but acted a little quickly and hit the 1/2 pot and then clicked raise immediately.

    BB: $65 (65 bb)
    Hero (SB): $100.50 (100.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q Q
Hero raises to $3, BB calls $2

    Flop: ($6) T 5 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4.50, BB raises to $9, Hero calls $4.50

    Turn: ($24) 6 (2 players)
BB bets $24, Hero raises to $88.50 and is all-in, BB calls $29 and is all-in

    River: ($130) 9 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

    Results: $130 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: T 5 2 6 9
    BB showed 6 5 and won $128.50 ($63.50 net)
Hero showed Q Q and lost (-$65 net)

This hand was pretty early and confirmed my suspicions of him being a little crazy.

    BB: $84.69 (84.7 bb)
    Hero (SB): $251.80 (251.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T K
Hero raises to $3, BB raises to $5, Hero calls $2

    Flop: ($10) K A 2 (2 players)
BB bets $10, Hero calls $10

    Turn: ($30) 4 (2 players)
BB bets $30, Hero calls $30

    River: ($90) 2 (2 players)
BB bets $39.69 and is all-in, Hero calls $39.69

    Results: $169.38 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: K A 2 4 2
    BB showed A T and won $167.88 ($83.19 net)
Hero showed T K and lost (-$84.69 net)

Kinda bad spot. He usually barreled pot 2 times and then gave up on the river with weak hands, but with this odds I just couldn’t fold.

    BB: $121.30 (121.3 bb)
    Hero (SB): $195.19 (195.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A 6
Hero raises to $2, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $1

    Flop: ($6) 4 A 6 (2 players)
BB bets $6, Hero raises to $15, BB calls $9

    Turn: ($36) 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $26, BB raises to $52, Hero calls $26

    River: ($140) 2 (2 players)
BB bets $51.30 and is all-in, Hero calls $51.30

    Results: $242.60 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: 4 A 6 2 2
    BB showed 5 3 and won $241.10 ($119.80 net)
Hero showed A 6 and lost (-$121.30 net)

Here I’m not completely sure what to do on the turn. I think it’s correct to at least call down with top 2 pair, but he has so little left that I might as well reraise.

    Biggest winning hands

    BB: $127.86 (127.9 bb)
    Hero (SB): $213.32 (213.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 3 A
Hero raises to $4, BB raises to $7, Hero calls $3

    Flop: ($14) 6 3 A (2 players)
BB bets $14, Hero calls $14

    Turn: ($42) T (2 players)
BB bets $42, Hero raises to $168, BB folds

    Results: $126 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: 6 3 A T
BB mucked and lost (-$63 net)
    Hero mucked 3 A and won $124.50 ($61.50 net)

I think it’s okay to only call flop bet because he was so often pot 2 barreling.

    BB: $169.43 (169.4 bb)
    Hero (SB): $159.69 (159.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 5 J
Hero raises to $2, BB calls $1

    Flop: ($4) J 5 7 (2 players)
BB bets $4, Hero raises to $12, BB raises to $20, Hero calls $8

    Turn: ($44) 3 (2 players)
BB bets $44, Hero calls $44

    River: ($132) 6 (2 players)
    BB checks, Hero checks

    Results: $132 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: J 5 7 3 6
BB showed 7 6 and lost (-$66 net)
    Hero showed 5 J and won $130.50 ($64.50 net)

In this hand I thought about reraising the flop and raising on the turn but I figured it was best to only call him down because of the min 3 bet on the flop, I thought this was a pretty strong line. I was going to call the river, but I’m not sure if it’s correct. I figured he would either have some pretty strong hands like TPTK+ or complete air so I didn’t think he would have many fours.

    Hero (BB): $99.50 (99.5 bb)
    SB: $285.65 (285.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A Q
SB raises to $2, Hero raises to $8, SB calls $6

    Flop: ($16) T J 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $8, SB calls $8

    Turn: ($32) K (2 players)
Hero bets $26, SB calls $26

    River: ($84) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $57.50 and is all-in, SB calls $57.50

    Results: $199 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: T J 3 K 6
    Hero showed A Q and won $197.50 ($98 net)
SB showed 6 T and lost (-$99.50 net)

Pretty sweet turn and a golden river.

    BB: $234.45 (234.5 bb)
    Hero (SB): $109.50 (109.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q A
Hero raises to $5, BB raises to $9, Hero raises to $25, BB calls $16

    Flop: ($50) 6 J 4 (2 players)
BB bets $50, Hero raises to $84.50 and is all-in, BB calls $34.50

    Turn: ($219) T (2 players, 1 is all-in)
    River: ($219) 4 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

    Results: $219 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: 6 J 4 T 4
BB showed 3 K and lost (-$109.50 net)
    Hero showed Q A and won $217.50 ($108 net)

I was a bit worried he would have a 6 or a 4 here and wasn’t sure all-in was the correct move, but he was so crazy so I thought “ace high ftw” and jammed.

And it all ended with a huge cooler

    Hero (BB): $216 (216 bb)
    SB: $126.32 (126.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 Q
    SB completes, Hero checks

    Flop: ($2) Q Q 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $2, Hero raises to $6, SB raises to $10, Hero calls $4

    Turn: ($22) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $22, Hero raises to $50, SB calls $28

    River: ($122) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $92, SB calls $65.32 and is all-in

    Results: $252.64 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: Q Q 9 8 3
    Hero showed 8 Q and won $251.14 ($124.82 net)
SB showed 7 7 and lost (-$126.32 net)

    Yep..

This week has not been too good so far with the poker results. Also have not played much because I’m doing less hours than usual due to exams and I took monday off. At the moment I’m learning for an exam in differentials, at least I think that is what it’s called in English. It’s about solving functions where you also have the derivative of the variable in the function.

    Hey! Thank you 🙂

The coaching is great. I’ve learned alot, and keep on learning new stuff every week. I like how in the start we only do standard lines and see that they are profitable and then later learn about more fancy stuff. Two reasons why I think this is good: 1. after a while multi tabling becomes much easier because alot of spots you don’t have to think too much about 2. you get a foundation to adapt from and which you can always return to if you’re not sure what to do.

I’ve also become much more effective in off the table work like going through HHs and figuring out what I would do in a similar spot the next time. You also get a reply from a coach in the forum on HHs which is very valuable. Before when I tried to do this stuff on my own I didn’t know if my conclusions were right or wrong so I was never confident in my game.

You’re right that my game has improved alot, and I’ve already surpassed anything I’ve accomplished before in online poker.
