    Thanks, jason!

This week ended up with further progression of the bankroll so I’m happy about that. I was very lucky in all-ins though so the results are higher than what I deserved.

It’s nice to have a bit of extra luck now in the beginning, but I can’t count on it to last.

I’m really enjoying my new office chair, so if anybody needs a new one I can recommend it. It might just be that my last one was really bad though 😛

This week has gone pretty well so far, had a really good monday. Almost hit stoploss today, but after winning my first all-in at NL100 i managed to carry it back to about breakeven.

Need to finish a uni assignment tomorrow so don’t know if I will get to play any. Need to hand it in to be allowed to take the exam.

Made my first vlog today, nothing much but you can check it out below.

Today it’s exactly one month since I started playing after joining CFP. It really is remarkable to see how the results have drastically improved. In can’t dwell on the results though as I still have a long way to go to be anywhere near my goal of living off of poker. This goal is what mainly motivated me to apply for CFP and it’s what motivates me to put in the hours every day. It’s just the freedom that comes with poker I’m fascinated by. Maybe I overestimate it, but the opportunity to decide almost everything work related myself sounds so nice. Also non-work related things like where to live. The one obvious thing with poker that is negative is the variance, but I think we must just learn to embrace it instead of fearing it. Without variance poker wouldn’t have existed in the first place.

    This week:

    First month:

Running pretty dead on all-in EV 🙂

This week was quite swingy and I hit my stoploss yesterday, but coach Rovar said I could play for another buyin and with some hard game selection and luck that buyin took me up almost back to breakeven for the day and a slight winner for the week. This month has been really good considering that before it started I was a losing player. I can only thank Rovar and the other good folks at BPC for turning that around.

Other than poker I have not done much this week except the uni assignment. Also I’ve not mentioned this before, but I’ve had a mild tinnitus for about 8 years. Before this week it wasn’t too much to it, I just noticed it when it was dead quiet like when I was going to sleep, but now it has suddenly become much more intense. I really have no clue why this happened now. I have not been at a concert for ages and I haven’t had the volume high on my headset neither. I’m going to book an appointment with a doctor next week to check it out, but as far as I know it really isn’t too much you can do with it.

The up and down swinging continues:

Going to game select like no man has game selected before the rest of this week and see how it goes.

Cheers, Bryan. I hit a bump this week though. Even though I focused hard on game selecting my shot for NL100 didn’t work out.

    Results of the week:

The big drop was some big pots lost at the end of thursday and then I hit stoploss after 200 hands on friday. I talk a little bit about the shot in the video below.

By the way, this is my pro webcam setup:

This week had a rough start and I struggled a little bit with motivation the first couple of days. It’s starting to get better now though. It’s funny that moment when you realize (or atleast hope) that the downswing is over. Like when you win because of one better kicker and you valuebet some weak hand and villain has a draw and doesn’t improve.

I have been really lucky in all-ins so far this week. One would think most of this was from the upswing in the end, but it was actually between hand 500 and 1500.

This week I ran pretty crazy over EV and my parents came on a visit during the weekend.

I’m pretty satisfied with this week so far. I have a goal of playing 8000 hands and so far almost halfway there. I got more time to play during the rest of the week so it should be achievable.

I’m about breakeven for the week so far

    Nice volume!

Cheers! Almost definitely going to hit my goal. Only got a 1000 hands left and a day to make it. I think I’m at or close to the point where I can 4-table pretty comfortably now. Today has been the first day I really tried it out for a full session and it went okay. Time went really fast. I planned to play for 1.5 hours and then go to the shop (it closed 30 min later), but when I checked the clock it was already an hour past closing time. Usually I have only 1 or 2-tabled (1: 20k hands 2: 15k 3: 7k 4: 2k). So the next few weeks I expect to have a pretty decent growth in volume.

Today has also been my biggest winning day so far ($615). Running good and playing stations like guy below at nl100 helps 🙂

    Hero (BB): $257.66 (257.7 bb)
    SB: $56.96 (57 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K K
SB raises to $2, Hero raises to $6, SB calls $4

    Flop: ($12) J K 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $8, SB calls $8

    Turn: ($28) A (2 players)
Hero bets $20, SB calls $20

    River: ($68) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $45, SB calls $22.96 and is all-in

    Results: $113.92 pot ($1.50 rake)
    Final Board: J K 3 A 7
    Hero showed K K and won $112.42 ($55.46 net)
SB showed 9 Q and lost (-$56.96 net)

I was actually in the middle of eating dinner and watching a south park episode when this guy sat down at the table. I stopped to play him and 44 hands later I had stacked him twice. He left after the hand above so then it was back to eating and finishing the episode 😛

Ended the day after hitting 8k hands for the week. Didn’t run too good today, but because of yesterday the second half of this week has been a nice upswing.

LOL, you don’t understand the game man, he hero called you because he holds the blockers if he had 9 in club he’d snap called you in case you bluff BD FD 😉

Ahh. I think you need to give me some homework on hero calling in 3b pots with Q high and blockers 🙂

This week so far I haven’t had so much time to play. Had 8 hours work on monday and had to get up early on tuesday for a dentist appointment. I have a wisdom tooth with an infection in the gums so taking some antibiotics or something at the moment and going to get it removed tuesday next week. After the dentist appointment I had 2 coaching sessions which was pretty cool. Learned alot I think. Especially that when cards are not going my way I just have to be patient.

Cards not coming my way is pretty much exactly what is happening so far at nl100, running pretty bad there. These are my stats for it so far:

    This week so far:

I don’t think I’ve had any big tilt issues so far which is cool. My mind gets clouded sometimes, no doubt, but then I usually just go into standard lines robot mode which I guess is much better than tilting spew monkey mode.
