Watsup. I’m Dan, today i joined the CFP program at BPC.

I think its really cool that BPC is doing this, i have quite enjoyed following some of the other guys that joined the program 3 or 4 months ago and now pretty excited that I am in also….little bit nervous tbh as well, but can’t wait to start working, pumping out the hands and rake in the $$$.

I’m based in Thailand atm, been here for the last 5 years…played poker online about the last 10 years. I will use this blog to post any updates about poker or just life in Thailand

Also I have YouTube Channel but nothing is there atm, will get some content up on it soon.

Hey, so basically I started out with poker in like 2005~ with sng’s, micro stakes cash, over 2 years got to a level where i was making like 3k/month consistently, playing 100nl with dabs at 200nl 6max. Became friends online with some of the winners at msnl back then and once that happened i reallly started to crush. I was having $20k months playing 5 hours a day of 400nl and 600nl.

Some poker friends that had been living in bangkok asked me to go over, said i would really enjoy it, so why not? Basically what happened was this total lifestyle change…i went from being this pale nerdy poker kid to whisky chugging whore mongering degenerate. I’m pretty sure I had multiple months where I had over $10k month expenses, with most of it going to whisky @ clubs and overpriced japanese food.

so this lifestyle went on for like 3 or so years, bank account was going south, motivation to work was low, and i just felt like shit in general. I had put on 15kg, had no stamina, black bags under my eyes constantly and was becoming a lot harder to get any decent looking girls lol. So i realized if i keep going down this path ill probably end up like one of the fat dudes at a nana plaza gogo bar, so i put an end to it…went from one extreme to the other and gave up drinking, got myself doing more sports and got back into poker.

Now been about 2 years since i gave up drinking, I have drank a few times in this period fwiw, but not to the point of belligerent drunk, babbling about nonsense that i would regularly have done before. But I have regretted it each time because I always feel like shit the next day. But anyways, i feel a lot better now, lost a bunch of weight, look better, gettin the hot ass girls again and now i am just really focused on poker and making $$$.

I really like the way BPC works, GG makes everything look so simple but at the same time his VDO’s have never been boring to watch…i can remember watching vdo’s at other training sites and just closing it after 2 minutes coz the guy talking was so boring. I followed all the guys in the program now and saw them having success, i saw them having nearly $10k months after just a few months being in the program and just thought to myself..well if they can do it then i should be able to right? and so i entered the program.

If you got any specific q about any of this just ask 🙂 I don’t mind talking about it.

    Watsup,

Yesterday had first session with Ilidek. No strategy stuff just things I should know and basic starter guide I should follow. He said I should play NL4 for a little bit get used to standard lines, so ok np.

Today played for 9 hours and crushed all the fishes at NL4 lol, I played 1400 hands and +$30~ BUT the more important thing is that I get used to standard lines, which I think I am slowly getting used to…I made some mistakes at the beginning of the session, like folding stuff out of the BB that I was supposed to call with, I cbet a few flops that I think should have been checked behind, little things like this…

I think the standard lines so far have been good, I had a lot of success with certain lines vs donkbets, and vs missed cbets. Also felt like it limits the amount of tough spots I am in….pretty sure there were no really tough spots at all today.

Studies a bunch also, wrote down all the std lines on a notepad in an attempt to burn them into memory…also played with hand charts up all over my screen today…but yea, back at it again tmr.

    Watsup,

Day 3 is over. Played about 24 hours over last 3 days @ about 3.5k hands. Winning. Playing good for the most part, though there are most likely mistakes being made.

Getting used to STD lines, got the Preflop ones down pretty good, there are some things like limped pot stuff that i get confused with, as well as the occasional donkbet hand.

The rake at NL4 is LOLWTF.  but the games are also LOLWTF. so many ppl sitting down with defend BB @ 90+. Action is quite constant also, wish it could be like this but @ higher stakes.

Something stupid happened today, don’t know why I cared so much but some donkey suckout on me at NL4, and it make me angry, i lifted the mouse up and slammed it onto the mouse pad as hard as i could and the mouse shattered and broke…so dumb, like why i even care about losing 1 hand to some donkey at NL4 lol…thats weird right?

But anyways, apart from poker I haven’t been doing anything really…when im not poker, i am usually eating or going to market to buy somethings, so tmr I will go play some sports in the morning and then spend afternoon/evening with grind and study.

    Watsup,

Not much to update, just been grinding a ton….like every day around 8 hours + watch VDO from coach + comment hands and study std lines.

I usually split my sessions up into 2 groups, so I session prepare and then play for 4 hours, take a break eat some food w/e…then do it again another 4 hours. I’m finding toward the end of the 2nd session i get a little impatient, anxious, aggitated…so might have to do something about that.

Grind is going well, its just NL4 but games are easy and I’m playing fine, will do a VDO blog with full update about that tmr.

    Watsup

Quick update, yesterday had 1st real coaching session with Ilidek, good stuff. There was a few spots where we took some not so std lines and betsizes that I would have never come up with on my own. Also there was some major leak in my game – i cbet too much and wasn’t following the STD lines very well in that part.  So today during session really focused on cbetting, making sure i wasn’t spewing and following std lines 100%

Not much else going on in my life other than poker. Will update on Monday or Tuesday with a graph.
