    Hello !

I’m Damien I’m 35 years old french guy. Thank you reading my blog !

I play poker since 2005 more or less actively. I began on internet crushing low limits MTT and SnGo then I crushed 3/6 Limit Holdem. I actually turned 6$ into 15000 $ in 3 years. In 2009 began live poker and played lot of tournament 1000 to 5500 euros buy-in. Start by winning a bit but played  to many tournament and quickly lost my “winning power”. Then online Poker become “legal” in France which means no more .com and since that time I do not succeed to really win anymore (live and on line)

I just finished a trading business, It’s now best time in my life to enter in this MTT coaching program. I’m free and realy want to use my time as well as possible to succeed as a Poker player.

We have in my country only 3 poker site as much as I know. But I have a nice casino 10 min from home with poker tournaments 6 days a week and 3 or 4  table 2/4 NL Holdem every afternoon/evening.

    10 last days I done 2 things :

    I- Play 102 MTTs during 60 hours

I first played 0.5 to 3 euros tournaments, which work pretty well. Then I began 5 euros on sunday 4th wich was a no good day, during I realized that my first “coaching session” with Alex indicates that I have to stick to 1-2 euros tournaments…ooops. Since that I play only 1-2 euros tournaments which is just fine ! I’m very confortable : ITM 1/3 ROI almost 40%.

Playing on PS mostly. 4 tables on the screen or 2+ following courses in the same time.

II-  Watch courses : 100 % CFP MTT bronzes / How to become a millionaire / Tilt free

I learn and relearn a lot.

The postflop section has been a real gold mine for me, I wrote everything done and will make some nice sheets of it, I think it’s so important to know it perfectly.

Now I have to learn preflop charts prefectly and to train the final table ICM calculations.

Really enjoy all the courses even if it was a lot of courses 🙂

    Now let’s start the coaching ! Let’s Crush !

Friend of mine asked me this morning :

Hey yesterday I was sitting on that MTT (live), kind of deeprun. Then the following hand Happen :

    9 Handed Average 25 BB

Villain UTG +1 35BB Open Jam KK

Actions fold to Hero BU 55BB Calls JJ

He lost the hand and was not so sure it was good action

    HR analyse :

UTG +1 will open Only AK TT+AQs+  some ATs AJ s A5s A4s

BU have to call only AK and QQ+ (JJ = -0.63 EV)

    Variation :

Let say that the UTG+1 is looser and will open that way much more hands : 88+, AQ+

Then the call become profitable with TT+ AK

    ok

Then let say the OR has only 20BB (cause my friend was not so sure ^^)

    OR Range 99+ 66 (!) KTs+ QJs AQo+ A2s-A5s

    BU profitable calling range : AQ+ TT+

Now I can feed back him

    Week learning :

3 Bet intermediate courses with Julian : very valuable webinars, I guess it’s even a beat advanced courses. Fine by me.

In the same time I just begun the maths section of the courses, I’m not sure I’m doing things in right order, but I already new approximatively my maths. It still very good to learn and relearn with more accuracy all the odds etc..

    Week’s not finish.

Homework : No Bullshit Poker Math : combination and range.

    1. Villain’s range is 66+, AJ+. How many combinations of pairs does he have? Write them out, like this: AA(number of combos), KK(number of combos),etc.

    54 combos : AA (6 combos), KK (6 combos), QQ (6 combos), JJ (6 combos), TT (6 combos), 99 (6 combos), 88 (6 combos), 77 (6 combos), 66 (6 combos)

    2. Villain’s range is any two cards ten and higher (TT+, JT+,QT+,KT+,AT+). How many combinations is that? Write them out.

190 combos : TT (6 combos), JJ (6 combos), QQ, (6 combos), KK (6 combos), AA (6 combos), AK (16 combos), AQ (16 combos), AJ (16 combos), AT (16 combos), KQ (16 combos), KJ (16 combos), KT (16 combos), QJ (16 combos), QT (16 combos), JT (16 combos)

    3. How many suited Ax combinations are there? Write them out

    192 combos : A2 (16 combos), A3 (16 combos), A4 (16 combos), A5 (16 combos), A6 (16 combos), A7 (16 combos), A8 (16 combos), A9 (16 combos), AT (16 combos), AJ (16 combos), AQ (16 combos), AK (16 combos).

4.The flop is AQ5. We have AK. How many combinations of sets are possible for villain (assuming he can have any hand)? Write them out.

    7 Combos : AA (1 combo) QQ (3 combos) 55 (3 combos)

5.The flop is AsQd5h. We have 6s5s. How many combinations of AQs can villain have? Write them out.

    2 Combos : AhQh AcQc

6.The flop is AQ7r. We have 77. How many combinations of gutshots can villain have? Write them out.

    48 combos : KJ(16 combos), JT (16 combos), KT (16 combos)

7.The flop is AQ7r. How many TP+ combinations are there? Write them out.

    147 combos AK (12 combos), AJ(12 combos), AT(12 combos), A9(12 combos), A8(12 combos), A6 (12 combos), A5 (12 combos), A4 (12 combos), A3 (12 combos), A2 (12 combos), AQ (9 combos), A7 (9 combos), AA (3 combos), QQ (3 combos), 77 (3 combos)

    8. How many combinations from question 7 do we beat with AT? Write them out

    56 combos : A9(8 combos), A8(8 combos), A6 (8 combos), A5 (8 combos), A4 (8 combos), A3 (8 combos), A2 (8 combos)

    9. Villain from question 2 (TT+, JT+,QT+,KT+,AT+) goes to the flop. The flop is As8s9c. Does he have more combinations of made hands (and 1P+), or draws (any FD, OESD, GS)?

He has more combinations of draws : 51 vs 39 Combos of made hands

    10. Villain from question 9 goes all-in on the flop with all of his made hands and draws. The flop is $10, and he has $15. Can we profitably call him with TdTc?

    No :

Needed  help from equilab here ^^

    Tableau : As8s9c
    Equity Victoire Égalité
    MP2 70.23% 69.40% 0.83% { TT+, ATs+, QTs+, JTs, KsQs, KsJs, KsTs, ATo+, QTo+, JTo }
    MP3 29.77% 28.94% 0.83% { TdTc }

As he bets 1,5 pots I need 37,5% equity to call break even which I have not !

Mistake on question 3 : didn’t read the word “suited” …

    Mistake on question 7 : miss the Q7 2p (9combos).

    Mistake on 9 : I counted 39 combination of made hand instead of 75 : AA (3) KK(6) QQ (6) JJ (6) TT (6) AK (12) AQ (12) AJ (12) AT (12) No idea how I did this one

Since I began the program, I realy progress and two things :

3 bet, do it more and more exploitively.

Jamming – Rejamming. Charts change my life.

Now I think I steal have leaks on Cbet and I watch some videos of webinar of that.

I also have leaks on concentration and  I need to work my mindset to get better on that.

I think I can win a lot at this game if I work well those points.

Really entousiastic about being in a coaching program, really impatient to start the coaching ’cause right now I just follow courses. I don’t why no respons to my mail from Julian or Bencb… As long I have webinar to catch up it’s quiet fine.
