    Hi guys!

When I first learned about poker (some 10 years ago) I fell inlove with idea of making your living in a non-tradinional way. Where you can be your own boss, work under your own terms, do it almost everywhere in the world (I love traveling), have fun while doing it and of course make a lot of money:) I knew this is what I wanna do. I have put my dreams aside, being a person with multiple back-up plans, finished university, got my PhD degree, did some “tradional working” after which my plan was to dedicate a year just to poker while traveling the world and see what can develop.

And now this moment has come. I have been playing SNG’s now for two months but can seem to be moving in the direction I wanted (making huge amounts of money:) of course! I have done a lot of research (as I am used to) about poker coaching, since I realised it’s very hard to do it on your own and it takes a lot of time, too much IMO!!!!

This is how I learned about BPC and I liked the idea and coaching they are offering. As I am always ready for new challenges in life I have decided I will give it a try. So if BPC can deliver everything they say they can let’s see if a girl can make it in a man’s world!:)

    Cant wait to start!

Got my study materials and dived right into them! Gone through Starter course Module 1, gone through Module 2 ICM. Finished 5 units in Tilt free today. Took me approx 6 hours and my concentration for today is over! I loved everything I’ve read and heard but three things I’ve heard really got me thinking:

    1. you are somehow mentally f…. up (can’t argue with that:))
    2. stop whining b… (that will need a lot of work)
    3. start working on things you can change/on things on which you have influence today!

As I want to finish CPF as soon as possible I am gonna do what coaches say. If they say put 10 commandments on your blog, that’s what I am gonna do!:) So here they are with my resolutions:

SHUT UP (will have to work on that since I always want to be the smart one:))

LISTEN (will do, don’t discover hot water if somebody has already done that, just listen to them)

DO, DON’T ASK (goes together with the second commandment)

ASK ONLY AFTER DOING (works for me: at least I can ask at some point)

DON’T OVERTHINK (will have to work on that since I love over analysing)

PREPARE – ALWAYS!!! (no problems here)

GOALS (will make a new goal for each day!!!!, mostly learn sth new, get a new poker skill)

CHAMPIONS STAND UP ONE MORE TIME THAN THE REST (can see myself in this role:))

    RESPECT OTHER’S TIME (always)

    CRUSH (can’t wait)

The most important thing I learned today is that I really like this blog thing (changed my mind in one day!). Yesterday I was skeptical since I don’t like putting myself “out there” but today I see it’s really a motivation booster. It doesn’t really matter if somebody reads this or not it’s enough that I want to write it. If I put my goals here at least three times a weak, they are out there and it would be a real disappointment if I don’t reach them…

So my goals for the next two days are to go through the whole material available and start playing on Wednesday!

OK that’s enoughbabbling for one day….

Completing my newbie steps took a bit longer than anticipated. Ran into some problems with depositing money (never happened before)! But finally I finished the steps and now I am only waiting for Robert BPC to add me to Skype groups,… I?ve done a lot of useful and necessary things this week. Downloaded all the programs I need for coaching, gone through most of the studying material, watched I few coaching sessions and made a lot of notes. Today I also played 9 tournies and recorded my session just to see if everything works! It did.:)

I’ve gone through all the studying material (it’s a lot of info) and while watching it I thought I understand most of it! But today I played a few tournaments and I was really lost, trying to do implement everything I’ve learned but I really struggled!! So tommorow I will go through all the notes I’ve made watching videos, play one table at first, think about hands  and situations, mark the difficult ones and go through them afterwards, make notes about the players (to get used to do it really quickly for when I play more tables=come up with abbreviations). I definetly have to define ranges for pushing from different positions with 10BB or less, with 3-6 players. I will also played with SNG coach:)

After my first 1on1 coaching with Ben I saw that I definetly do not shove enough in “anytwo” spots. I went through a lot of hands and noticed that I definetly miss a lot of those spots. So my first homework was to mark 10 hands where I pushed 100% BvB. I’ve found some spots where I pushed correctly (posted them in the forum) but also a lot of them where I just didn’t push. Even if the homework was, to mark the hands where I pushed I post here also hands where I didn’t but should’ve pushed!!! I think it’s also important to find spots where you made a mistake or should I say mistakes:)

MARK 5 HANDS WHERE YOU PUSHED 100% BvB (HAND6)

    Poker Stars, $1.40 Buy-in (40/80 blinds, 8 ante) No Limit Hold’em Tournament, 4 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager – The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    Hero (SB): 1,006 (12.6 bb)
    BB: 320 (4 bb)
    CO: 911 (11.4 bb)
    BTN: 763 (9.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7 of clubs 3 of clubs
    3 folds

    Results: 112 pot
BB mucked and won 112 (64 net)

I think this is also a spot, where people don’t call enough with 4-5BB in BB. According to nash the villain should call 74%, if he defends less than 63% anytwo is a profitable push. I don’t think they defend 74% right?

MARK 5 HANDS WHERE YOU PUSHED 100% BvB (HAND6)

    Poker Stars, $1.40 Buy-in (30/60 blinds, 6 ante) No Limit Hold’em Tournament, 4 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager – The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    Hero (SB): 464 (7.7 bb)
    BB: 437 (7.3 bb)
    CO: 1,762 (29.4 bb)
    BTN: 337 (5.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T of spades 7 of hearts
2 folds, Hero raises to 458 and is all-in, BB calls 371 and is all-in

    Flop: (886) 9 of diamonds 2 of clubs A of clubs (2 players, 2 are all-in)
    Turn: (886) 3 of hearts (2 players, 2 are all-in)
    River: (886) K of diamonds (2 players, 2 are all-in)

    Results: 886 pot
Final Board: 9 of diamonds 2 of clubs A of clubs 3 of hearts K of diamonds
Hero showed T of spades 7 of hearts and lost (-437 net)
BB showed K of spades T of hearts and won 886 (449 net)

Not totally sure about this one, according to Nash BB has to call 48%, but as far as I saw while playing, people fold too much in BB with 4-7BB.

I think this looks more like what they call:

MARK 5 HANDS WHERE YOU PUSHED 100% BvB (HAND8)

Poker Stars, $1.40 Buy-in (50/100 blinds, 10 ante) No Limit Hold’em Tournament, 3 Players Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager – The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    Hero (SB): 814 (8.1 bb)

    BB: 600 (6 bb)

    BTN: 1,586 (15.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 2 of clubs J of hearts

    2 folds

Results: 130 pot BB mucked and won 130 (70 net)

This is another example where I think I should push 100%. The Nash gives 48% defense for BB, but I think they defend less, where anytwo become profitable, sth like:

    http://imgur.com/CrKzVGH

Is this ok or am I giving them too tight defense range?

MARK 5 HANDS WHERE YOU PUSHED 100% BvB (HAND9)

    Poker Stars, $1.40 Buy-in (40/80 blinds, 8 ante) No Limit Hold’em Tournament, 3 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager – The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    Hero (SB): 812 (10.2 bb)
    BB: 581 (7.3 bb)
    BTN: 1,607 (20.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 of clubs 7 of diamonds
BTN folds, Hero raises to 804 and is all-in, BB folds

    Results: 184 pot
Hero mucked 8 of clubs 7 of diamonds and won 184 (96 net)

I think this is the calling range for BB:

Poker Stars, $1.40 Buy-in (50/100 blinds, 10 ante) No Limit Hold’em Tournament, 3 Players Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager – The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    Hero (SB): 1,143 (11.4 bb)

    BTN: 860 (8.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 of clubs 7 of spades

BTN folds, Hero raises to 1,133 and is all-in, BB folds

Results: 230 pot Hero mucked 8 of clubs 7 of spades and won 230 (120 net)

Here I have to push very wide, it is anytwo if he defends less than 20%:
