Student switch programs and start winning

Today we stop by to meet Juan Pablo.

He was an NL 6-max student and switched to the NLHU program

And it worked well, he came from breaking even to winning!

How did you get in touch with poker and what made you decide to start playing?

I have always been a fan of video games and card games, I like competition. About 7 years ago I watched a television advertisement and started to play poker.

How did BPC help you to improve your game?

I joined BPC because I needed a solid strategy and had serious mental leaks and lack of discipline. BPC put me in the right direction, now I can survive to downswings and never tilt!

Can someone guess when he switched programs?

Where do you live and how is it to live there and what do you like a lot about it?

I live in Argentina in a clean, calm and peaceful city of about 50,000 residents called Trenque Lauquen.

I have a wife and two children, it’s a great place to live with a lot of nature around.

What gives you the motivation to get back to the tables every day?

I just love the game and I can’t stop playing. The challenge of continuous improvement is my motivation.

Can you recall a special moment or hand in poker, which was interesting/meaningful/memorable for you during your time in BPC?

I remember 3 nice moments.

-When I decided (against suggestions) to switch from 6max to HU program, I was really convinced to do it and my profits changed dramatically from day 1.

-It was a very special moment for me when I got my first 1k in 20 days, I was so happy to take my first step.

-A couple days after that, BPC told me I was doing very well, it felt very nice to get recognition after so many hours at the tables.

Any tips for motivation for your fellow grinders?

Never lose the passion for the game, it becomes better every day.

If you could give 1 advice to your other players, what would that be?

Do what BPC say, take the most from the coaches.

Keep pushing Juan Pablo!
