With the absence of M1ndctrl and $teezy – who both finished CFP – in addition to @vars focussing more on quality instead of volume, the fight for the top places is more open than ever before.
With one week to go, Jan “Somebody” has a slight lead over Piotr “Goodfake”. The two of them are head to head for a few days now.
The biggest comeback of the month was Maciej “Nubson”. After the toughest 2 months of running insanely below EV in addition to bad plays, he showed more than anybody else the real spirit of a BPC member.
He had a great day today and is only 300 Euro away from first place. At HU, 300 Euro is one pot going the right way, so basically, Somebody’s lead is super thin.
Who do we root for to win?
Somebody:
He had a LOT of “almost” wins in the past. But then there was always some mofo who had an above average and insane performance. So far he was the winner of the hearts and cracked the magical 10k mark for the first time in August. Will he also become the winner of the minds and most $$$ in September?
Goodfake:
Since moving to Maribor, his performance skyrocketed. He is the “newcomer” in the fight for the top rankings. Good work ethic, but terrible blogging ethic. Well, he puts in more hands at HU than anybody else. He plays like crazy and fights a lot. Enough to deserve the win?
Nubson:
The biggest comeback. He already won the rankings in May. He’s been there and done that. But after his terrible run, he definitely has some sympathies on his side. He said he just wants to make the 10k and doesn’t care about winning the rankings. Do we really believe him or does he have some evil plans in the back of his mind?
@Vars:
Never underestimate the shark from Riga. Yes, he is 2k behind the top, but it’s one week to go. He’s shown all of us in the past that work ethic and putting in hours is NOT a problem for him. Also, as a 6max player, we can only speculate if his RB has already been paid and added to profits. He’s always a danger and the guys on the top should never feel too safe.
