€60k CFP Finisher, “hucol”, is back to BPC as a coach!

Darwin “hucol” finished his €60k Coaching for Profits contract last year. Towards the end of his contract, he gave free coaching to new students to give back to the community that helped him achieve great results.

Now he’ll be able to give even more back by coaching the students in the NLHU Soldier program!

We had an interview with him to check how is everything going:

How is everything going in life for you? What have you been doing?

I continued playing Heads-up after finished CFP and I’m making a living out of this. On top of that, I also started playing some live poker game.

Another thing, I’m in the process of becoming a Daytrader so I’m putting a lot of time practicing and studying that.

And I’m always trying to get time for my family (two kids and wife) which have been the support for me in every project I want to start.

What about your results after finishing the NLHU Soldier Program?

The year started very well. In the first 2 months I broke my personal record month and in on February, I  won 12.6K.

After that, the government applied some regulations in my country and it has been harder for me to get the same volume as before. But in general, it has been very good doing since I’m consistently profiting.

How did BPC help achieve such results?

On BPC you learn everything that works and makes you money, no bullshit theory. On top of that, they always push your limits so you can give 100% and achieve your goals faster.

What was the best part of being a Coaching for Profits student in the NLHU program?

All the people behind (coaches and partners) that are pushing you hard and motivating you to achieve your goals and do your best

Who was your favorite coach when you were a student?

I think all of them have something special to give. I was happy to have coaching sessions with any of them: JurassicDan, Nubson, Jan “somebody”, M1ndctrl.

That is what his coaches taught him, how to crush!

What is your experience coaching? For how long have you been doing it?

When I was an intermediate student I  coached starter students for about 2 months, and I’m happy that even a short period of time, some students told me I helped them a lot.

How are you feeling about starting coaching the NLHU students?

I’m very happy about that! It makes me feel very good to continue being part of the family that helped me succeed at poker. I also like the fact that  I can help other students achieve their goals

What do you think you have to offer them?

Simplicity, I just want to make sure that they are doing everything that works and teach them how to focus on doing that.

If you could give one advice to all the other players, what would that be?

Poker is a great way to make a living and it is still possible to make a lot of money at the tables, you just have to believe in yourself and work hard for it.

What are your plans for poker in general? For short and long-term?

I want to continue improving and to keep climbing the stakes in the short term. In the long term, would like to become a good live tournament player.
