What a great month for Dragomir, who in the last October hit the amazing amount of €5007!

We got the chance to talk with him to know the story behind this HU soldier:

When did you start playing poker and when you decided to take it more seriously?

Well, I learned the rules probably when I was 14-15 Years old but I was just playing a bit for fun with play money. In the winter of 2015, I saw a video of a Bulgarian guy who was playing poker and I decided that this will be my ‘’job”. I put 50 euros in one poker room and started playing but I realized very fast that I will need a coach, so I joined BPC. I can say that I  started taking it seriously already from the beginning

Where do you live and how is it to live there and what do you like a lot about it?

I live in Varna, Bulgaria. The place is pretty cool for me mostly because of the sea. At the moment I am in a grindhouse, which is located very close to Varna.

When and why did you decide to join Coaching for Profits in the NLHU Program? And why did it take you one year to start playing?

I’ve joined the NLHU Program on January 1st from this year. One year before I was in the 6-max Micro program.

In which stake did you start and which stake you’re playing now?

I’ve started playing HU at NL10 and now I play up to NL250.

Which poker formats have you played before, and why HU is a better fit for you?

Before the HU, I have played only 6-max, but to be honest, I don’t know why HU is better for me. I was struggling a lot on 6-max for some reason and that’s why I’ve decided to switch to HU.

How did BPC help you to improve your game?

Well, BPC didn’t help me to improve my game. They taught me how to play because I had no idea what I was doing before joining the program. BPC just give you simple steps and the only requirement is to follow them.

Who has been your favorite coach so far in the NLHU program? The one that influenced your game the most?

Every coach helped me with something in a different way, but there are 2 coaches who influenced my game the most: Nubson and M1ndCtrl.

Nubson is always there for me when I am struggling with my game or when I’m having a ‘’bad run’’ and don’t know what to do.
M1ndCtrl is motivating me a lot and he is also giving me great advice outside the poker, which are helping me also for my game.
I didn’t have a lot of coaching with Lauri, but I think that he is doing also a great job with us.

All in all, how do you like the program so far? Study material, coaching sessions, etc.

The program is great in my opinion. The video materials are great and we learn a lot from the Coaching sessions that we have.

Has the BPC Community helped so far in any possible way? How?

YES! They are really great. Every time that I post a hand or when I have a question about something there are a lot of people who are answering me. Even the last month, when I made my record, the students were contacting me on skype and they were posting on my Blog to motivate me and to show me support. It is really great to be in a group of people who have the same goal as you and who are working hard to achieve it.

In your opinion, what is the best part of being in the Coaching for Profits NLHU program?

All the students and coaches are discussing hands together and motivating each other. That’s the best part. If you want to be good at something in particular, be surrounded by people who wants the same.

There is always room to improve, what you think you need to do to get even better results?

I will start studying more hours because so far, I was playing like crazy and I did not study that much.

What gives you the motivation to get back to the tables every day?

The picture that I have in my head about my bright future and the fact that I just know what I have to do and I do it every day.

From your progress so far in the program, how much time do you think it’ll take to finish your contract?

If not today, then tomorrow

Any tips for motivation for your fellow grinders?

Sit on your ass and start playing more!!! Try at least to make it difficult for me to win the monthly rankings for most played hours 😀

If you could give one advice to the other players, what would that be?

Keep your mind clear because our unstable mind is the reason why we fuck up most of the time.
