Rovar was a border cop before joining Coaching for Profits. He was making enough money with his job to support his family, but not a lot more than that. After 18 months in the HU program, he finished his $100k contract, quit his job and had a record month of $18k (100% of profits went to himself…well, actually his family got a big fat vacation). Rovar also worked as a coach and CFO for BPC, but eventually, he earned too much money playing on the tables so BPC became a victim of its own success.
Ilidek started his CFP program playing NL4 HU, nevertheless he called himself the “Sexy Polish Millionaire”. You can see how much he improved his game by taking a look at his graph above. Many CFP students mention Ilidek as the most inspirational BPC finisher. He keeps updating the ups and downs of his life in his life. You can see how his life changed one post at a time. Gordon especially admires his ability to never give up. There were many situations where 99% of people would have given up. Ilidek did not. He finished the 100k contract
Danel from Estonia, one of the quiet members of the group is a steady worker. I say this, because he never put in super crazy hours, but also never completely lazy. Interestingly enough he had more swings in his results than you might assume (from 10k months to 2k months, moving up to NL200 and move back to NL50 to rebuild confidence). Nevertheless, he had the patience, intelligence, and strong will to finish his challenge. Good opportunities are coming his way!
JurassicDaniel is a CFP HU 100k finisher and very popular BPC coach. His students (among them famous BPC legends such as Rovar and Ilidek) like a lot about him that he is a very good listener and explains things in a very detailed way. He is the type of person who prefers to stay in the background despite having the best win rate ever seen in HU-poker (30bb/100 over 100k hands at NL50-Nl200). We respect that and thanks to his very systematic approach many other players will be able to profit from his coachings!
Before BPC, Maestro was playing poker and making around €1,5 monthly profits. During the program, he hit one €10k month, became complacent and went on a downswing. Not everybody stands up again, but Maestro as a true BPC fighter came back stronger than before and finished the program. Today you can find him traveling the world playing poker for a living.
Before joining BPC Marvolio did not make real money from poker. Soon after starting CFP, it was clear to everybody that nobody can beat “the crazy Romanian” Marvolio when it comes to dedication. Legendary are his 300+ monthly hours of playing. It was only a question of time when he would finish the program. And he finished it! Marvolio is also a passionate raw vegan and endurance athlete. Nobody knows how he combines doing all of these things.
German player Kanelbullar decided to join BPC when he saw the great results of previous students. The coaches got worried at times about his progress because his main focus was actually studying at university. He traveled from Sweden to Australia while improving poker and finishing the program. His recipe for success is setting new goals and keeping in mind for what you are doing things. While he has many other things going on in his life, he is able to achieve great results by staying disciplined when it’s needed. Now he can decide himself how to use his time and be his own boss, keeping 100% of profits to himself.
Before he joined BPC hucol had almost no experience in playing poker at all. Now he knows how to make the big bucks at the poker tables. Our first Colombian member struggled at the start even with the most basic moves. That changed very soon. After finishing CFP HU program he said: “BPC is the only place that approaches poker like a business and you can start making money before being a good player, which makes this learning road easier for you.”
Alex “Lateralus” is a real and typical BPC success story. Like so many players at BPC, he started at the lowest stakes (NL2) and worked his way up. In December 2016 he broke his personal record and made over 11000 Euro in profits.
He has earned himself a high standing in the community not only because he is a coach, but also because he is helping out other players a lot way before “officially” being a coach. He himself said that it took him way too long, but something very interesting is that he made 50% of the contract in 1,5 months. This shows everybody that “once you get it, nothing is stopping you”. Even if you start at baby stakes, even if you take longer and are also focused on other things (like Alex), you can make it!
Firstly, after finishing high school Rutger “justplayff” was planning to go to university and study fiscal economics. But he took a risk and instead of having 9 to 5 job after 3-4 years of studying, Rutger joined BPC coaching for profits program and successfully completed it. Like so many BPC players, he started at the lowest limit (NL2) and no surprise he ended at NL200. His biggest takeaway is: “Put in the work, believe in yourself and you will achieve whatever you want.”
Sometimes you might think that it is an advantage to start at NL2, considering how many BPC success stories startet at the lowest limit by players without money.
When Bartosz aka “c0l0” joined BPC, he couldn’t afford a flight from Poland to Croatia. He progressed step by step. A real mental change happened at the BPC Event in Malta. There is something magic about BPC Events. The “obvious” thing clicked. He simply put in the hours, played 200hours and making 4k at NL25 in one month all of the sudden was easy game. He finished in glorly and now can be found anywhere between Thailand and Croatia.
The graph shows 9000 in profits, the last 1000 were from bonus and rakeback payments. Our German NL 6max Micro student “6maxbottezon” was always systematic, always used the coaching sessions to ask questions. Thus, it wasn’t surprising when he completed the 10k challenge. He is a classical BPC success story, starting from the lowest limit (NL2) and finishing playing NL100! His advice to other players is more than simple: “Just listen to your coaches and you’ll be fine.” Sounds just like Rylan, our hall of fame member. There must be something about it…
Adam “Adamlandelius” started CFP as a losing player. In his own words “I managed to go from a losing player to a winning one in only a couple of days after joining”. Understanding variance, playing a lot and learning how to plan a hand from the start were the key factors that led him to finish his 10k challenge.
Tadej aka “s3cr3t” in his own words played poker for a few years and had only 1 losing month after rakeback (-25 Euro, first world problems;) However, there was very little improvement and he was just very lazy. After burning through cash reserves he realized that he needed to get back to earn some money and joined the BPC 6-max micro team. After hours of work, he completed the 5k program. Last reports from December 2016 show his personal record month of 2500 Euro. Keep pushing!
Jakob “Jaschka” Schilk was a struggling micro stakes player before joining CFP, citing mindset issues as a major hurdle to becoming the player he wanted to be. Inspired by HansTheGreat, Jaschka started the program at NL2 6-max on PokerStars with the goal of building his bankroll to 20k over the next 9 months. Within just 8 weeks in CFP, Jaschka went from NL2 to NL20 and had already won over 1k.
Juan Pablo started CFP as a NL 6-max student. He struggled for 90k hands until he realized this poker format was not for him. He switched to NLHU and the good results came almost instantly. If you check his graph you can clearly see that.
Imre started in the CFP SNG program and then moved to MTT on May 24th. Only 1 month and 2 days later he finished his contract thanks to a nice and simple approach to the game.
