BPC Flopzilla Series (part 1)

Hello, and welcome to the BPC Flopzilla series!

In this article, I’ll talk about the basics of Flopzilla, a powerful poker tool that I use very often. Before I start explaining everything in detail, here is a screenshot from the program.

So let’s start! Before creating a range, you have to create a category. You can do that in the left area.

When you left click your mouse button a new window will pop up.

There you can choose the name of the category (6max, for example). That’s how you create a new category.

After that, you can create a range. You can do it in the “Starting hand” area.

 Below the “Starting hand” area, you can see green buttons which you can use to create a range.

When you press “Suited”, all suited hands will be marked.

You can do the same with “Pocket” and “Broadway”. When you want to add a single hand, left-click the mouse button. To mark more hands simultaneously, you have to press the left mouse button, keep it pressed and move it around. After creating a range, you have to store it. You can do this on the left by pressing the “Store range” button.

After pressing the button, a new window will pop up and you’ll be able to enter a name for the range.

After giving a name, the range is stored and you can use it every time you open Flopzilla. The step is the “Board” area. Here you can create different flops, turns and rivers.

You can create a board marking the “cards” or clicking the “Random” button which will create a random board.

The most important section is the “Statistics”. Here you can see all combinations of hands you hit with your range. You can see that you have 7 combinations of sets, for example.

When you move your mouse arrow over “set”, all sets will be marked pink in the “Starting hand” area.

When you left click the mouse button, all the sets will be fixed. On the bottom left corner of each set combination, you can see the number of combinations of sets a hand has.

When you want to see the percentage of sets you have, press the TAB key on your keyboard. You should see the percentage now. We have 1 % of sets and 3 % two pairs, as you can see.

When you want to see the “Cumulative” numbers, you have to press the “Absolute” button.

Now you can see how strong your range is. In this example, you have 45,1 % of pairs and better.

One tool which I use randomly is “Dead Cards”.

Here you can select a specific hand (for example AT) and you’ll see how much equity you have vs the range you created. In this example, AT has around 45,38 % vs the created range, which has 54,62 %.

When you want to export a range you created, all you got to do is press the “range” button.

A new window will open. Now you can select the range and copy it in any other poker program (like Equilab).

At the bottom, you can delete the range by clicking the “Clear” button.
