We had our 5th monthly MTT this weekend on PokerStars, where players battled it out for some cool added prizes, including free access to the BPC Academy for the 1st place finisher! All others who reached the final table won their choice of any BPC Club premium course. Each player started with 2,000 chips, and once we reached the final table, it took around 50 minutes for the winner to emerge. Let’s have a look at how things went down.

The first knockout occurred around 7 minutes in with the blinds at 200/400/50 when rounder_rf went all-in from early position with AQo. It folds around to igorbr who shoves over the top with AKo. Flop comes an ace and igorbr collects the pot to send igorbr home.
The 2nd elimination went down just one hand later. From middle position, fjoere82 opened with King-Jack of clubs and calls a 3-bet from rolls123 on the button. The flop brings a King and fjoere82 goes all-in for less than a pot-sized bet. He gets a call from rolls123 who flips over Ace-Ten of spades for the ace-high flush draw. The flush misses but rolls123 spikes an ace on the river to scoop the pot.
One hand later, another elimination. It folds around to GandhyLOS on the button who opens with AKo and calls an all-in from mhonielsen with T8o in the big blind. The flop comes JT3 giving mhonielsen an open-ended straight draw and two live cards. The turn and river pair the board however and GandhyLOS’s Ace-high holds up.
The tournament continues 6-handed for a few orbits until GandhyLOS opens from the button with AQo. We get a 3-bet from madru5h in the big blind, GandhyLOS 4-bets all-in, and madru5h calls and flips over AA. Easy game.
With the blinds 250/500/50, ProfKartoff opens in the cut-off with KQ. It folds around to HazeBruda in the big blind who goes all-in for 4,625 with 99 and ProfKartoff calls. The flop brings a King and the board bricks out to eliminate HazeBruda.
We continue 4-handed for around 20 minutes. With the blinds at 700/350/85, we get a blind battle between madru5h with ATo and igorbr with 77.
With blinds at 500/1000/125, madru5h opens on the button and rolls123 3-bets all-in from the big blind. They flip their cards and we get a classic flip situation with madru5h’s JJ and rolls123’s KQs.
We’re now heads-up with madru5h (58,573) and ProfKartoff (23,427). The battle ensues for around 15 minutes with ProfKartoff eventually taking the chip lead by a wide margin. With the blinds at 800/1600/200, madru5h goes all-in for his remaining stack with A9s and ProfKartoff calls with 44. The small pocket pair holds up and ProfKartoff takes down this month’s BPC Club MTT.
