Cash game lasted till 6 a.m. Probably it was the reason why BPC people had difficulties with waking up next morning and be in front of the bus on time. The bus, by the way, took us 50 km away from Cannes to the Paintball Valley. This journey was full of danger. And on the halfway, we got lost in the woods. Fortunately, we had Julien “Neelzzz”, the only French-speaking team member. Julien guided the driver and saved us from being eaten by wolves, or even worse, by wild cannibal tribes that arrive on French coast by boats somewhere from South.
In Paintball Valley we changed, we took guns and started a dispute about the best way to split into two teams. The were some inappropriate suggestions that insult certain nations, violate women’s rights, and disrespectful regarding some sexual preferences. But Gordon brought the situation under control and made the only fair suggestion: Heads Up against 6-Max.
Well, to be fair, his decision was not so fair. Because Heads Up team playing against 6-Max it’s like NBA all-stars playing against kindergarten for the girls with disabilities. And I’m not exaggerating. We played many rounds and Heads Up team won each of them.
The squad Lauri-Scott-Reece was especially efficient. They were invisible for the enemies, they shot all of them, they survived in every battle, they brought glory to Heads Up team. They are our heroes!
In a break between the rounds we had a picnic made out of the food, that guys shot in the savage forest: baguettes, ham, cheese, cucumbers. We were having sandwiches, sipping red wine, telling rough anecdotes and discussing women.
On the way back to Cannes everyone was tired and sleepy, but the real party was only on its way. That evening we had the poker tournament.
Tina made energizing cocktail Spritz, a special recipe that she keeps in secret, very refreshing and waking up, so people found their second wind and the tournament started.
Oh, dear not-participant of BPC camp, sorry for touching a sore spot, but you missed Gordon’s biggest shame moment. At the poker tournament, there were hardcore professional poker players, BPC poker legends, poker megaminds, people that had been studying and playing poker for years and years. So guess, who was that genius that brought all those stars down to earth? It was a girl, the girl that barely knew how to play poker! She even didn’t want to participate.
Congratulations to Sonja! You wrote the most beautiful chapter in BPC history! Sonja’s victory didn’t stop poker night, guys played real money till the sunrise, being interrupted from time to time by evil neighbors and their threats to call the police if we wouldn’t be more quiet…
