    Hello everyone!

It’s knelse again. Last time on BPC I finished the 100k hands challenge, but wasn’t ready to begin the real stuff yet (job, studies, sorta), and my bankroll wasn’t big enough for HU. I played some Spin&Go on PStars, won a bit, and now can start fulfilling my dream – become a HU pro!

My current goal is move to Brazil from Russia, where I currently live.

At some point we decided to export oil instead of vodka (dumbasses), so our current economy sucks hard balls.

My last job quickly went from quite nice $3k to not-so-nice $1.3k, which not only blows a lot, but forbids me from going anywhere except for nearest pub.

I currently have a bankroll of EUR $1.5k with some money to top it up. I’ll begin HU CFP when my application gets accepted.

I’ll be grateful if you join the ride, but if we meet at the tables, your money would be mine! 😀

    GL everyone, let’s start!

    ==========================

Application state: currently at step 3, waiting for VIP manager to contact me. I already have Neteller acc set.

    We will endure.

    Hello man, and thanks 🙂

I’ve done 100k challenge myself last year, it’s kinda tough, but in the end I loved the volume I need to put in to succeed.

There’re several reasons, but biggest are: like 95% of my friends are from Brazil and I just love the atmosphere. I had a chance to live in a couple of cities in Russia and Israel, but never got the feeling of comfort while walking in the street. I’m very much aware of the crime situation in Brazil 🙁

GL to you too, would be following your blog.

Okay, now to proper stuff. I’m in a second part of tasks, YAY!
    My situation
Andrey, 25 years old, have a beard and a fiancee, am a nerd (mostly computer games, but tabletops also).
    My poker story
I started playing poker in 2008 using the short-stack strategy, grinded my way to NL$1k at some point, but had kinda little discipline, so quickly dropped to rakebacking on NL $100 – NL $200. At the same time I was moving between Russia and Israel and trying to decide where to (and if to, tbh) to study. Finally, as it often happens, everything ended in a fuckup. I stopped playing poker as my main income around 2013, invested money in a web-studio, decided on the country I really wanna live in, and ready to kick asses again!
Why I want to join CFP?
First of all, to prove myself I’m still capable of winning in poker. Secondly (with the same weight) – for money, ofc, as we’re in huge arsehole regarding USD conversion rate in Russia, and I wanna to be on the best side of the dildo (one might say all sides of dildo are the best, but let’s skip that part for now).

    We will endure.

Yay, just finished all the starter videos in a day and got 95% in the last test!

Will deal with deposits tomorrow, I’m still super eager after 16h of learning stuff, but might fuck something up.

    Almost done with the deposits.

Sadly, it seems that Full Tilt has no HU tables any more. Also, will need extra money invested to play at .FR sites: widthdrawal goes only to bank accounts with IBANs, and the best deal I’ve found here to make one is EUR 300. Going to skip that for now and ask coach later.

    We will endure.

Doing daily practice with Uhlvar Equity. Kinda in doubt:

How I count it: to win AK has 2 outs for A, 3 outs for K, ~1 out for backdoor straight. Also Q9 gets 100% if Q or 9 shows, which eats around 0.5-1 out.

Standard method is multiplying amount of outs by 4 (if doing flop-river) and subtracting 2-3% from it. Here we should have 5*4 = 20 – 3 = 17%, and both Equilab and UhlvarEquity show 27%. What am I missing?

Yes, there is some violent cities in here. The south region is better. Is more secure, more beautiful, more beautiful womans 🙂
Do you like big cities, a lots of party?

You forgot some calculations on the equity. You also need to count running pair, like 5 5. And Q or 9 would not kill you, since an Ace still gives you the higher Full House.

5 outs on the turn = 10%. Turn 8h for example,  now you have 3 more outs.
    8 outs on the river = 16%. Plus 1% runner runner straight = 27% 🙂

Actually every out is a little more then 2%, making around 28 or 29%. But since Q or 9 would kill the equity, the equity goes to 27% 😀

I’m mostly into smaller cities, which are more beautiful and more quiet. Also, most of my friends live near Rio anyways, so I’m thinking about something in Rio district. Just loved Nova Friburgo, for example.

Regarding the hand – thanks! I kinda figured it out myself, but wasn’t sure how to count it better. Now everything is perfectly clear! 🙂
    Btw, runner-runner straight is 2% (4%), not 1%, since it’s roughly equal to 1 out 😉

Not sure if I need to do homework before I started, but I train anyways. Results for today – 60 hands, 3.44 avg. error (currently I don’t enable timer).

Have problems with double paired backdoors and sometimes with preflop equity (which is kinda strange, probably ’cause I’ve not played CAPs and short-stack tables for a long time) and overcards vs draws.

    Graph for today:

Ridiculous 19.3 error was a mistype (wrote the smaller equity in winner’s field), but still could do better.

Hit stoploss (3BI) for today. Most of the loss is on PStars, where my $125 bankroll just ended, ’cause I got drowned in action and made some horrible mistakes.

Problem: hard to play 4+ HU tables at once, especially on different sites with different layouts, time to act, etc.

    Installed Stack&Tile, hope that helps.

Almost finished the day around zero, but got TT < JJ preflop, AK < KK preflop and straight vs higher straight on turn – so, stoploss again. Made mistakes too, but there’re nowhere as horrible as yesterday. Overall I’d say it was a nice day, I begin to understand what’s going on.
