“Before joining CFP, I was just randomly guessing at the tables.”

Today we want to introduce you to Priit, who started as a student in our PLO 6-max program and even became a coach for the beginners now. He likes to be a coach, as he can repeat and pass on his knowledge. Meet Priit:

How did you get in touch with poker and what made you decide to start playing?

It was January 2007 when I started playing online when I got an 8$ free deposit bonus which I grew to 250$ before that site didn’t allow Estonians anymore. Because the Estonian company Playtech started providing the software for it.

Then I spent it all like a boss. A few weeks later I found another 5€ free deposit bonus and never looked back and have been poker pro since November 2007. At first, I played Full ring NL Heads-up to 1/2$ then I moved to 6-max and played up to 2/4$.  I have also played for a few months MTT, HU SNG’s, Spin n GO’s.

In every poker format, I have made profits except PLO before joining BPC. Now that has also changed.

How did BPC help you to improve your game?

I have improved mostly because I know how to think now in PLO. Before joining I was just randomly guessing.

Run better!

Where do you live and how is it to live there and what do you like a lot about it?

I live in Estonia, Tartu. It is the 2nd biggest city in Estonia (98 000 inhabitants). I live here because I went to university here and after living a few years in another city and abroad I came back because I liked the place during my studying years.,

What gives you the motivation to get back to the tables every day?

I want to know, how high I can climb up in the stakes.

Can you recall a special moment or hand in poker, which was meaningful for you during your time in BPC?

Yes, my most important hand was when John, my coach, told me to check back one hand which I always used to bet/fold. After that moment of pot control, it clicked for me and my results improved drastically

And since you are also a coach in the PLO 6-max program, I am curious, how is it for you to be a coach for the beginners?

I think coaching has helped me a lot. Because I can talk about the fundamentals and default lines once per week. It sticks to me as well. I like to coach as on top of improving my game, I can also practice my English.

Any tips for motivation for your fellow grinders?

Attend coaching sessions!

If you could give only 1 advice to your students or other players in general, what would that be?

I would not think about money when playing. Because when you think about money, then you play too high or your mental game suffers.

Thank you for your answers Pritt, GL at the tables!
