“After I joined Bestpokercoaching I started winning from day one.”

Today we are meeting another fellow grinder, who joined our poker coaching program and already made huge progress in his poker game. Atanas is pumped to reach his vision for the future, which is to make money and succeed in poker.

How did you get in touch with poker and what made you decide to start playing?

Two years ago a very close friend introduced me to poker. He was playing  SnGs and MTTs and the spark came when he started to explain the knowledge behind the game. Then I started to watch videos, reading books and start playing.

Of course, I lost some money until I understood that I need a coach. I tried different coaches and after 1 and a half year of struggling, I found BPC.

How did BPC help you to improve your game?

When I joined BPC, I was playing mostly NL 5 Zoom and I was slightly losing, something like 2bb/100 for 80-90k hands. After I joined BPC I started winning from day one on.

I learned that I need to have discipline and be more responsible for my game. It takes a lot of patience and work and most important, you need to have love and passion for the game. In short: BPC gave me a new mindset.

They have very good standard lines that keep you out of trouble when you get lost in a hand. The coaches and the video materials are amazing. I started to understand what are the reasons behind the actions. I improved in terms
of analyzing the hands, in giving specific range to my opponent, how to use the HUD stats in the game, what I need to look for when I table-selecting and many other things.

Where do you live and how is it to live there? What do you like most?

I live in small town in Bulgaria called Asenovgrad. I like the nature around here, as it is very beautiful and there are a lot of landmarks. It is a quiet place where you can rest from the rough grind. There are a lot of parks for walking.

What gives you the motivation to get back to the tables every day?

The vision that I have for my future. I want to succeed in poker it’s the first part of my life journey. Of course, I also have the passion for the game.

Can you recall a special moment or hand in poker, which was memorable for you?

Special hand? They are all special. From any hand, you can learn a lot. Memorable is every time that I bluff-catch an opponent. I love to do that. Sometimes I go crazy and start yelling at my screen some bad words.

Any tips for motivation for your fellow grinders?

Ahh, guys mindset is the most important thing! You need a big vision for yourself.  You need to want it really really badly. Don’t be lazy … put in the hours! Make a routine and stick to it! You need the reason for waking up every morning!

If you could give 1 advice to your other players, what would that be?

Never give up. Don’t break the discipline – this one is very important. Don’t stop the work until you see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Thanks for your time Atanas!
